Hermes Hearts And Crafts

With every new detail I discover, with every story I find out, I like Hermes even more. It’s like a journey through Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory: Hermes Arts and Crafts!

Remember when our dear friend, Riana, told us about it? I so wish I could watch it! Parts of it, The Craftsmen, are available courtesy of Hermes, and the bits and pieces (minute and a half long short clips) only make me want for more! The brilliant anti – glamorization motion picture belongs to Frederic Laffont who is a specialist in TV documentaries and the videos below (hit the jump for more) will show you just why Hermes continues to spawn its magic and make you forget the four figures you’re supposed to pay for one of their bags! Maguelone, leather craftsman and many more right after the jump!

My best GF and I were so amazed and almost jealous at jobs and craftsmanship like that. Or to have the change and possibility to have a job like that….And we are not exactly clueless :)

What we see here is only a tip of the iceberg. I hope Hermès company change their mind and make the documentary available on DVD. At first the documentary should be showed only once but it ended up due to the interest in four viewings. Or five? I would buy it just for the joy of it.

i see where you’re going! ;) yes, those people really look fortunate! I’m afraid, however, that fairy tales like this must have some deep dark dungeons where a lil dragon stays hidden, guarding some well kept secret…

It was broadcasted on the Sundance Channel, so …. maybe more will follow?
