I like Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2013 more than I did Chanel’s or Bottega Veneta’s collections because OdlR is certified classic gold. His ball gowns are enchanting and his signature elegant designs are timeless. De la Renta’s Resort collection was classic with a twist, though. The house’s trademark flowers were declined in laser cut embroideries and interesting fusion prints. Fashionista’s Camera: Hermes Leica M9 – P

Although I felt like writing some kind of secret code into the title, I’m sure many of you out there know the legend that is a Leica camera. As such, I won’t get into the hi – tech details (too much) – I’ll keep you on the fashion side of things.
So Hermes teamed up with Leica (again) for a special release of the M9 – P camera. A very limited edition (300 pieces with silver anodized lens plus another 100 with three lenses, a hand crafted Hermes camera bag and a book with 200 photos taken by Jean – Louis Dumas, former Hermes president, with his personal Leica M camera) – images with the complete set after the jump.
So this is what happens when you’re trying to glam up and live up to the expectations, huh, Lindsay? Although rumors were flying around saying that Lindsay Lohan impersonating Liz Taylor for upcoming biopic was really happening, I still refused to believe it. Until today. When I saw LiLo at some wardrobe fittings, putting her best Elizabeth foot forward. And looking ridiculously unfit for the job. From where I stand, the stylists & makeup artists will have a lot on their hands! {DM}
A Therapy: Roman Polanski’s Prada Film With Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Kigsley

Writing the title alone made me dizzy! I was used to seeing all kinds of weird Prada films – not long ago, we were all dancing on some kind of hypno animated fashion moves for the Blossoms collection. Now Prada is going all artsy premiering a four – minute long film at Cannes!
At Cannes, yes, you’re reading that right! The short film, suggestively titled Prada A Therapy and directed by Roman Polanski and starring the amazing Helena Bonham Carter and the great Ben Kingsley seem to spill some kind of psychiatric story (where Ben Kingsley is, biensur, the Doctor). There’s a very funny end to that short film – it involves a certain purple Prada fur coat! Watch it below and let’s talk about it on the couch… ahem, in the comments section!
Elza Luijendijk For Versace Fall Winter 2012 2013 Ad Campaign

Get ready to hit the fall’s moody atmosphere with the new Versace Fall Winter 2012 2013 Ad Campaign! Architecture, clothing, styling, it all falls on the gothic side of fashion with a little help from Mert and Marcus.
The pictures show model Elza Luijendijk and Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner and Kacey Carrig (for the men’s campaign) in a dark and gray concrete setting with Versace outfits styled by Joe McKenna, as reported by wwd. I actually like the shoes and the fishnet knee high socks! Don’t you? They look so theatrical!
