Carefully planning our Fall beauty references from this on as we officially mark the end of the summer with today’s Labor Day (also harmoniously blending together my passion for all things nails), I thought I’d let you know about this fall’s most sought-after fashion nail polishes!
As we’ve been already accustomed, season after the season, Chanel sets the tone for it-nail polishes and this fall it’s about blue, rose and black. Burberry, on the other hand, is completing its English charm palette with a gorgeous deep red polish they aptly named ‘Oxblood’. Somewhere at the intersection of Chanel’s fall polish trifecta and Burberry’s Oxblood red polish lays the upcoming season’s beauty equilibrium.
Celebrating this year’s Fashion’s Night Out (which will happen in just 2 days from now), Chanel thought that it would be a perfectly clever marketing move to synchronize the launch of their above-mentioned nail polishes with the said fashion event. While Elixir ($27), the rose hued polish from Chanel, was indeed the star of their Fall Winter 2013 2014 prêt-a-porter catwalk, the two additional shades (Magic – the beautiful shade of blue and Cosmic, the silver sparkling black) will be exclusively sold during the Fashion’s Night Out events.
A special mention also goes to the eye makeup for the occasion with the Limited Edition Mascara Volume ($30) and the liquid eyeliner ‘Chanel Ligne Graphique Noir Scintillant’ ($34) with sparkling particles joins the Chanel Beauty Fall 2013 offering, allowing us to achieve a glittery look from tips to toes.
As for Burberry’s first ever polish collection complimenting their Fall 2013 collection: next to Oxblood No. 303, the English maison is also launching a beige hued crème named ‘Stone No. 104’ and a shiny black polish named ‘Poppy Black No. 299’. Biensur a suitable base coat with Pro-Vitamin B5 is also available to sustain the $25 Burberry polish.
So what will it be? French Chic nails with Chanel or the English Charm nails with Burberry?
