Style your Window with a Better View Curtain
February 12th, 2008 by kpriss
Every now and then I find some home-detail that I have to share with you! Because it’s surprising or because it will simply change the way you see the world.
Well, that applies for the Better View roller blinds. Designed by Elina Aalto (Fiasko Design) it creates the impression of a city view by night. For the moment they only offer Tokyo and Helsinki but soon to be added Paris and Stockholm and just imagine that each piece is made by hand!
Vivienne Westwood Opus Artistic Portraits
February 12th, 2008 by kpriss
Posing for Vivienne Westwood is an honor, it seems. Her book of portraits involved more than 50 friends and family members.
The curious thing about the book, however, it the fact that it was shot with the world’s largest Polaroid camera so the pictures end up measuring 50cm by 60cm!

Eva Green is the New Ambassador for Montblanc
February 11th, 2008 by kpriss
Word is the ex Bond Girl is taking up the jewelry and watches world by storm as she’s the new Montblanc Ambassador.
The Advertising Campaign is set to begin soon, in the meanwhile Eva keeps herself busy with a new Montblanc and Unicef intitiative (for each Meisterstück sold, Montblanc will donate $149 to Unicef) after which she attended the BAFTA Awards.
It will be a pleasure to work with Montblanc to support its cultural initiatives and, in particular, its work with UNICEF. Montblanc’s ongoing dedication to cultural achievement and also its constant striving for perfect craftsmanship in all that it created reflects my own private passions.
I personally found her performance rather impressive in the last James Bond. She’s a very intriguing woman. What I didn’t knew and pleases me to find out is that she is, in fact, a classic pianist. Had absolutely no idea! Did you know she was more than a pretty face with good acting?

Nelly Furtado’s Blue Arthur Mendoza Shower Look for 2008 Grammy Awards
February 11th, 2008 by kpriss
I see blue’s gotten into our singing ladies. The Grammy Awards red carped was sea-blue for this year’s ceremony.
I’ve got nothing against blue, by all means! It’s a joyful color without being superficial. I’ve got nothing against Nelly either! I just won’t be a simple bystander without saying a word on her appearance.
She managed a brilliant after-shower look draping herself in the bright blue Arthur Mendoza with her sling-back hairdo, the shower-hose-like-necklace and clear drops earrings. Won’t say a word about the sandals, at least she kept them decently nude-looking. Only if you think different – please, share your Nelly-feelings with me!
Armani for Alicia Keys 2008 Grammy Awards
February 11th, 2008 by kpriss
I have to admit, Alicia’s done it this time! She somehow managed to slip in some good outfits.
Without making too much of it, the red appearance is the best, by far. On second comes the print dress with straight hair. On third comes the blue dress from the red carpet and not so much because of the blue dress (which is a good creation, but not a good match with Alicia’s body) but mostly because of the wearer’s hairdo.
When is she going to learn that less is much more for her? Simple things, simple outfits, simple make-ups or hair-dos even out her natural lines.

Katie Holmes at the BCAM
February 10th, 2008 by kpriss
Um.. normally this would have been advertising dimanche. Break to breathe and enjoy short movies.
But then I was deeply disturbed by this appearance. Katie Holmes (alongside greyish Tom Cruise) at the Saturday event from the Broad Contemporary Art Museum opening from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Let’s take a look.

Making of Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2008 Shoot
February 10th, 2008 by kpriss
Mert and Marcus work together like wonders. “Louis Vuitton after dark” idea of a shooting gave a colorful girl about car or car about girl image.
Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott got their inspiration from where? Aerodynamics, great shapes and great cars.
The Louis Vuitton woman is extroverted, glossy, she has something. So do all the models “bigger than life” that were summoned up for the LV 2008 campaign: Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Angela Lindvall, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour and Natalia Vodianova.
You know the girls, you know Marc Jacobs, you know the products. What about this idea of colored cars and beautiful women together? I would go for the “commercial” side of the commercial itself.
What sells? Beautiful women. What else? Ummm…cars? Ok, we’ll do a women and cars thing. What else? What colors should we use? Umm.. all of them? To be sure, just in case we forget something? Mm ok! So it’s a deal! Like pulling rabbits out of a hat, cars, women, bright colors and expensive fashion.
What do you think? It’s put together? Or can you see the money line there?
