Kim Noorda UK Harper’s Bazaar August 2008 Cover
July 5th, 2008 by kpriss
Don’t you love a beautiful silhouette? Kim looks so curvy and flawless on the cover of UK Harper’s Bazaar it’s almost impossible to ignore. At least that was the case for me.
Not a skinny, looking ill girl but a shiny black laced woman in a gorgeous pose. I like it far better than I did on Gwyneth Paltrow when she showed up dress with this mini lace Stella McCartney number at the NY Premiere of Iron Man. Plus, Kim’s look is so coordinated and, to my surprise, is far from eyehurting (you can see Gwyneth’s picture right after the jump).
Kate Moss And Frankie Rayder For Stella McCartney Fall Winter 2008 2009 Ad Campaign
July 5th, 2008 by kpriss
When I first saw the picture, I would’ve sworn on Agent Provocateur and their Bridal Madness…
And no, it’s just not so! It’s Stella McCartney Fall Winter with Kate and Frankie. The ad was supposed to smell like family air and was shot by Inez and Vinoodh. However I’m a bit puzzled by Stella’s declaration: “It was nice shooting outside: seeing the girls tottering on their heels in the grass and over the rough terrain.”
If this picture is from the ad campaign, then why are the girls inside (or at least that what it looks like to me – a couch). Or it’s a mix-up campaign with shots both from the inside and the outside? I’m curious to see how’s it gonna be (either way, until now, I really like that blue number on Kate. The problem is I was unable to find it among the catwalk models for fall winter 2008. what would that be?)

Kate Moss And Gaspard Ulliel Longchamp Fall Winter 2008 2009 Ad Campaign
July 5th, 2008 by kpriss
I promise you, one day I’ll grow so tired of this French-chic look, I’ll end up saying it’s a hoax!
Undoubtedly particular but no so sacred, the Parisian air has a catchy flavor and a certain je-ne-sais-quoi getting everyone (and their dog) to sigh over Paris… (don’t miss the four more pictures right after the jump)
Friday Break – Al Green Let’s Stay Together From Pulp Fiction Soundrack
July 4th, 2008 by kpriss
We shouldn’t need special occasions to celebrate. We should always remember to rejoice.
The life we have, the way it is, it’s perfect. I’m sure you’ll all find reasons to find it perfect and see just the good around you. At leas for this 3 minutes of Al Green Let’s stay together song (that was featured in Pulp Fiction, but the scene was irrelevant for this special message I’m trying to deliver now – you can find the lyrics here). Let’s …
Meet The Image Fulgurator, Tourists Nightmare
July 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
Imagine you’re a tourist. Innocently taking pictures of everything you find worthy and discovering later on, that your pictures aren’t really showing what you first saw through your objective.
Someone could be messing with tourist photos using the Image Fulgurator. It uses a flash triggered sensor, projecting a message of your choice onto a targeted surface at the exact time when a picture is taken. Besides being subversive enough to derange, I truly wonder what could be the point of holding (and using) such a device. Can you imagine?

Lily Donaldson UK Vogue August 2008 Cover
July 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
We breathe some models air after long celeb-other-than-models covers.
Lily Donaldson covers UK Vogue for August. Looking rather fresh. Icy fresh. I thought the IT color for fingernails was neon pink this summer. And here comes Vogue’s Lily Donaldson to prove that blue’s alright too. What to choose? Neon pink or dreamy blue?
Artificial Intelligent Scales
July 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
Weight. Gaining weight. Loosing weight. Scales. Calories. Weight. Uh-uh, complete madness, I bet you know!
However, I’m a sincere person, with the others and with myself, these creations really got me wondering if people find such inventions useful. It’s about a set of 3 scales all meant to help you endure your weight war in some at least funny if not stupid ways. The “White Lies” scale is all about positioning. The further you get from the display, the lighter you get. The “Half-Truth” scale involves your partner since the display is on the front of the scale, so you don’t actually get to see it. The “Open Secret” is all about texting – it has no display but it sends a text message to a phone number of your choice.
Now you’re probably asking yourself why I called these A I Scales. Because their creator, Alice Wang took them as a personal response to Isaac Asimov first law of robotics (A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm) also featured in the movie I, Robot, so if you saw it, you’re imagining how far all this can go. How do you find these scales, honestly?

Another Ad Print With Linda Evangelista For Prada FW 2008 2009
July 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
I’m rather puzzled by this Prada set for the Fall Winter ad campaign. And I already told you that when we talked about the first print from this campaign.
Now here’s the second one. Besides the fluffy bag (coming to the rescue of the fluffy flying shoe that we don’t get to actually see this time except for its shadow on the wall) and that lace number they’re spreading for this fall, there’s Linda. Plastic-like-Linda looking dead flirty. And let’s not forget the shadow! That artsy fancy shadow getting people all crazy about their art sense. What’s the story, Prada glory?
