Britney’s Hidden Fantasy

Every now and then, there’s a little Britney Spears news popping out and catching my attention. This time it was her new perfume.

Called Hidden Fantasy (and being a sequel for her best selling Fantasy perfume), this new pink explosion has everything in its favor. A great pinky-red bubble shaped bottle, little sparkling Swarovski wannabe gems on, a studded bottle neck, a truly unique tag line “What do you have to hide?” and, most precious advantage of them all – Britney herself! Did I said Britney? What I meant was .. Photoshop!!! (more after the jump)

Reese Witherspoon Does Vogue US November 2008

Reese Witherspoon on the cover of Vogue US for the November 2008 issue. The patriotic issue. The anniversary issue (20years of Wintour@Vogue).

Pictorial of Reese Witherspoon with Olivier Theyskens. He saw in her the perfect Ricci girl. I see more the more the Avon girl in her. Because Reese is popular. Reese is one of the people. You can’t say wrong about her because she’s done none. Such is the case with these photos. There’s nothing wrong about the shooting. There’s nothing special about it either (except for Theyskens ghostly appearance). I wish I could say something more, but to me she looks like she’s playing with clothes that don’t belong on her, in a setting which doesn’t suit her. This is November’s US Vogue main fashion feature to me. Something irréprochable we could easily overlook. Was Reese suitable for this November Vogue cover? Agyness Deyn Covers Vogue China In November 2008

Missed her? Agyness Deyn is getting her covers back. She must be in some kind of soul search path and she’s taking the long way home – here’s her Vogue China November 2008 cover!

(I wish she could close her mouth when photographed, from time to time! That would be really something new!) It’s a great styling on the cover, very Agyness. Messy, busy, very colorful but so dull in the same time. I wish there was more of the great Alexander McQueen gown instead of that expression-less face of Aggy’s. Are you happy to see Agyness is back? (photo via tfs)

Madonna’s Gun Sandals – Chanel Miami Vice

You’d think that a Chanel Bulb Sandal (actually functioning bulb!) is the peak of everything fashion derision could produce.

Well, no! Here’s another Chanel to prove it! Chanel Miami Vice sandal (part of the Chanel Resort 2009 Collection). Made of Plexiglas, these heel-replica-guns actually look appalling to me and in no circumstance do I see that as fashion. In fact, when I see these, I think about the heel less boots worn by Victoria the other day and I fall in latex adoration.

Maybe because she’s a film director now (this red carpet appearance of her Madgesty is for promotional reasons – the premiere of her directorial debut in Filth and Wisdom), she feels she should be taken more seriously and thus tries and make a statement even through her clothes and accessories. We’ve seen her transparent wardrobe before so that’s no surprise. We’ve seen her wavy blond locks and her Cleopatra abusive eye liner. And I so wish I wouldn’t have seen her Miami Vice sandals (wish it were the Sticky and Sweet knee high laced boots!)! What kind of message is this supposed to send? Would You Wear The Rose Scarf?

The Rose Scarf is purely gorgeous. At least to my eyes. Whether you choose a red one, white one or whatever color, it’ll still have that petals appearance lovely and delicate.

The Sunset Rose Scarf is hand made from silk and wool and it measures 150cm long. You can wear it wrapped around your neck and feel like a blossoming flower or long like a classic scarf. I personally prefer it draped around the neck. The only problem is the price – app. $300. (I confess I still love it, even so!) How do you find this Rose Scarf? (via)

Karl Lagerfeld Does Le Petit Larousse 2009

The Kaiser will feature a very important cover this year. The cover of Le Petit Larousse Illustré 2009.

His love for books is notorious. I don’t know if that was the reason he got involved in this Larousse enterprise (after all, I imagine he didn’t got into the security vest campaign because he liked yellow), but the sure thing is that he’ll dress up the mini Larousse. Black covers, check. Karl on, check. La Semeuse inside, check. (half naked, but who cares it’s a drawing of a naked busted woman on a dictionary cover? It’s Lagerfeld! So chic!) .

Petit Larousse Illustre 2005 Christian LacroixHave to be honest here – Le petit Larousse Illustre in the bookshelf above my desk when I was in school. Worked with it almost every day. How am I supposed to let my children use the petit Larousse (if needed) with a naked woman on the cover? I’m not trying to be the prude one, I’m just saying he should’ve toned down a bit. And dress that Semeuse un peu! It’s a dictionary, quand même!

Just for the record – Christian Lacroix had his own cover back in 2005. Which one do you prefer? (via)

Easy Like A Walk In The Woods

When I was little, I used to draw little red mushrooms with white tiny dots on. I knew it had to be something true down the line, but I never went on a mushroom chase. This is just another proof that our childhood dreams aren’t just fantasies. Red mushrooms with white dots (well, almost dots)…

I don’t think they’d be good, if I remember right, all beautiful mushrooms are poisonous. But these look like cut out from a fairytale. Nature has its undeniable charms and I’m glad I can share this beautiful image with you! (photo via pixdaus)

Stephanie Seymour Covers UK Harper’s Bazaar In November 2008

Covering November’s Icon Issue from UK Harper’s Bazaar gracefully poses Stephanie Seymour in a gorgeous Versace dress. It’s a multicover issue – two instances of gorgeous Stephanie are to be released, both with the same Versace dress but signed by two British artist – Peter Blake and Marc Quinn. They were asked to embellish a number of 50,000 collectors covers with Swarovski crystals (200 gems).

Pictured below is the Peter Blake’s version, all stars and glitter. And Photoshop. (more pictures after the jump)
