When I was little, I used to draw little red mushrooms with white tiny dots on. I knew it had to be something true down the line, but I never went on a mushroom chase. This is just another proof that our childhood dreams aren’t just fantasies. Red mushrooms with white dots (well, almost dots)…
I don’t think they’d be good, if I remember right, all beautiful mushrooms are poisonous. But these look like cut out from a fairytale. Nature has its undeniable charms and I’m glad I can share this beautiful image with you! (photo via pixdaus)

This so pretty and magical looking!
It reminds me a bit of the dancing mushrooms in the animated film Fantasia dancing to Tchaikovsky’s Chinese dance from the ballet The Nutcracker! Thanks for this bit of magic Kpriss! : )
Does other countries has a childhood song about “mushrooms with white dots and a little fairy gnome who tumbles down off it” as we here in the Netherlands? I started singing it the moment I saw this photo. I’ve seen some for real on a Autumn weekend walk last Saturday in all that beautiful colours and I heard myself singing that childhood song….Its one of the first songs I’ve been taught. And it makes me happy these mushrooms still appears in Autumn, it means the earth is still alive to me and so the little gnome……
These are really cute and magical indeed! i never thought they’re real not until i made a quick google search after seeing those.. Hehe.. I’ve only seen white and brown mushrooms here in the tropics.. I remember way back my childhood days when I used to wait infront of a mushroom talking and begging for an elf to show up.. But it never happened.. Crazy! Hehehe..
