Marion Cotillard’s Dior Ad

After just few weeks of letting the news circulate, the new Dior ad campaign with Marion Cotillard has surfaced.

She’s high up in the Eiffel Tower and she does a brilliant pose, even if she’s not a professional model. I for one, like her frizzy un-styled hair (though I know better, that décoiffé effect is really hard to get!), her looks and her clothes!( and love the sandals!) I hope the rest of the campaign will be released soon so we’ll get a serious dose of Marion Dior-ness! Even if I’m used to seeing models in ad campaigns, I think due to recent economic reasons, luxury brands will go more and more for celeb-faces to carry the profits. Would you have preferred a model? Monica Bellucci, Dior’s Hypnotic Poison

Who’d be better to impersonate temptation if not Monica Bellucci? With a pinch of Photoshop, of course!

Her pose is pretty much identical everywhere, the same hypnotic beauty, the same cliché. Somehow I think she’s more suited for this campaign. Or Tyen (Dior’s art director) is really got at what he does! I was looking at the entire poster (you can find it right after the picture) and I had the weirdest feeling that Monica was the snake… That somehow, even if the snake is somewhere around her shoulders, it looks just like it’s one with her. Maybe it’s because of the purple dress she wears. Did you have the same feeling? (photos via tfs)

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Bracelet For Your Inner Punk Ballerina!

I wasn’t sure what name to put on this bracelet… I saw it today and wanted to share with you because I found it.. simply irresistible! (like that famous song says)

I love pearls for their classic feel and distinct look. I love a rock’n’roll accessory to spice up an outfit. But haven’t thought they’d make such a great ensemble! Luckily, Jean Paul-Gaultier’s bracelet prove me that Cinderella is alive and kickin’ and it’s a wrist twist (and $499) away from making me feel a perfectly punk ballerina! I have a weakness for the black one. Which one do you like more? (you can see more of this gorgeous bracelet right after the jump) (photos zappos.com via notcot.org)

Beyonce The Fierce Covers V Magazine November – December 2008

You know I love a good black cover. But this is… Just not my style! Beyonce covering V Magazine?

I know, we’ve seen something similar when Mariah Carey got her I-D, so why not Beyonce in V magazine? Well.. I don’t know! That girl looks fake and reconstructed-pixel-to-pixel to me. Even if she’s a hardworking girl, I can’t get her under my skin. And her imposing the new Sasha The Fierce stage name is somewhat forced (even if we’ve seen it before with Prince-The Simbol-The Artist formerly known as Prince or Puff-P-Diddy-Sean-Combs). And what’s with that adoration pose? (via wwd)

Mischa Barton’s Green Disaster At Lupus LA Bag Ladies Luncheon

Now this is the perfect example of how to go 100% wrong when supporting a 100% right cause! Mischa Barton is not a favorite of mine. By far. I think the girl needs some serious style and health advisers. (she was caught up w smoking and dui numerous times and she still can’t get her act straight)

Attending the annual Lupus LA Bag ladies lunch, she chose a green dress signed by Monique Lhuillier. The dress begins beautifully with a sparkling strapless top and continues dramatically feathered below the waist. Why didn’t she put on a normal dress that wouldn’t make her look like a walking enchanted bush? (photos via celebutopia, info via redcarpetfashionawards)

Kate Moss Pregnant?

I was recently telling you about Kate Moss and her possible second pregnancy. The rumors now have the photographic support to freely continue the speculations.

She was caught up wearing a bright yellow mini dress while in California (you know, that trip she was taking make-up free!) sporting quite a bump. I know I’ve been on a baby bump hunt before but I can’t help but suspecting her. Her normally slim and toned self could only show signs of pregnancy with such a bump. What do you say? Should we roll the baby bump watch? Or it’s just another one of those deceiving bloats? (photos via)

Angelina Jolie’s Ralph Lauren LBD At Kung Fu Panda DVD launch

The year couldn’t have been round if today we wouldn’t have had the Angelina-article! So I dug and found that she recently done a splendid Red Carpet appearance for the DVD launch of Kung Fu Panda, the animation movie.

She looked lovely and her physical shape is amazing, given that she’s a mother of six (from which she actually gave birth to three, just four months ago she had her twins!). Her trademark black was the safest choice so she went for a Ralph Lauren Black Label Kaila Matte Jersey Dress ( $898 ) with nude patent leather pumps. If I look back, I think her style has improved, even if she had some huge fashion-misinterpretations this past year! What do you say? (photos via celebutopia, ralphlauren.com)
