Cate Blanchett’s Alexander McQueen For Benjamin Button Premiere
December 9th, 2008 by kpriss
The controversial collection signed Alexander McQueen was (in my opinion) a very beautiful one. The only flaw was the omnipresent corset. But if you take that away (and the tights from the models faces), you’re left with a brilliant (literally) collection.
Cate Blanchett chose a dress from Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2009 and she did no wrong. Like she always does, she managed a great appearance for the World Premiere of The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. Who was your favorite lady for the night? Angelina, Tilda or Cate? (photos via justjared)
Tilda Swinton’s Rodarte For Benjamin Button Premiere
December 9th, 2008 by kpriss
Rodarte and Tilda Swinton make a great pair! Whether it’s for a casual look or a Red Carpet Event, Tilda will always find ways to amaze me.
Now she did a nice Rodarte floor length number, with pale colors, matching her skin and hair color. There are times when she looks so young and fresh and times (like this one) when she looks like a granny, sweet, nice, granny. Or at least that’s my feeling. But please, do tell me what her Rodarte dress and pulled back hair made you feel like. (photos via)
Sofia Coppola Bags And Shoes For Louis Vuitton
December 9th, 2008 by kpriss
I’m beginning to think, as the media fully shows us, that only (already) famous and rich people are creative. Any other creativeness is long gone!
Sofia Coppola “created” a bag for Louis Vuitton. As a film director, I wouldn’t have troubles imagining how she managed to design something, like Sofia herself admits:”I am able to ask people to make exactly as I would”. But saying that the perfect bag doesn’t exist is an offense to the rest of the consumerism world who finds the perfect “something” at least once a month! Now you should all know that this perfect bag is called SC Louis Vuitton and it comes in gray suede, burgundy, blue calf leather and monogram canvas (appx $2,200).
So not only she’s truly creative and a fashion current consumer (to say that the perfect bag doesn’t exist, you really have to up to date with everything that has been done in the matter!), she also reinvented the wheel! Making an evening clutch with a mirror inside, now, there’s got to be only 40 % of the (serious) evening bags of the world that don’t have one! The miracle clutches come in the same colors as the bags, plus a golden version. (appx $1,100). And you have to consider the brilliant cut of an Yves Saint Laurent shoe (originally made in the 70s and belonging to Sofia’s mother) redesigned (like we’d actually search and confront too see how much re-designed was applied to it!) and signed Louis Vuitton (appx $1,100)! Oh, isn’t this fashion in its truly pure form? Let’s see who’d be willing to pay $2,200 for a LV without LV allover it! (via iht.com, wwd)

Jerry Hall Advertises For Chanel
December 9th, 2008 by kpriss
Now who’d be the next face of Chanel? It’s Jerry Hall. And it’s not just a face, it’s a body too, since the Spring Summer 2009 advertising campaign features Jerry and Baptiste Gabiconi, a young Italian model, in a bed sheet story.
Modern love life has lost the time notion and short adventures prime. I’m seeing Karl promoting the one night stand idea more and more. Now he’s working the age issue also with a young man and a woman twice his age, involved in a romance, all for a fashion commercial. Now can we build the Chanel client portrait starting with the new advertisement data? (via wwd)
Angelina Jolie’s Black Versace For Benjamin Button Premiere
December 9th, 2008 by kpriss
Here they go.. Mr and Mrs Smith.. ahem Perfect. Angelina Jolie in black from top to toes and Brad Pitt, in black tux (to toes).
What a beautiful pair. How irreproachable match of outfits. What a beautiful smile and how unconvincingly happy they look together. I’m more and more convinced, with every new appearance these two pull, that they’re as fabricated as everything-Hollywood. The ultimate marketing trick. But then again, let’s get back to our (as always) dressed in black Angie. How’s her Versace gown? She wears it well? (photos via justjared)
Emma Watson’s Dress For The Tale Of Despereaux LA Premiere
December 8th, 2008 by kpriss
Let’s think about this for a minute – you’re a bright, straight-A, gorgeous young woman. All lenses upon you when you show up somewhere. Anywhere. You have a movie to promote. Animation. For children, mainly. What do you put on?
Emma Watson’s answer to that was a mini blue dress with sheer arms, no back, with corset. Matching that daring dress with a pair of semi gladiator high heels sandals (looking mighty cheap, I’d say) she was almost saying “look at me, I’m young, gorgeous, self absorbed and I don’t care what you all think, I might as well show it all!”. And the news associate the blue mini dress pictures (who signs that dress, anyway? I kinda miss her Burberry days!) with her talking about taking all her clothes off in a movie. In the right movie… What movie would that be, if she’s showing us (almost) everything for an animated movie premiere? (photos via celebutopia)
Pamela Anderson And Her Vivienne Westwood For Art Basel Miami
December 8th, 2008 by kpriss
While some try their hardest to cover themselves for a December night out, Pamela Anderson stubbornly shows us she can bare it all.
And it’s not for a photo shoot in that well known magazine representing the bunnies of the world. It’s for an art event, Art Basel in Miami Beach, December 6th, more exactly a photographic exhibition of David LaChapelle. The very image of a plastic, 100% synthetic existence, Pam was wearing some very short shorts, a one shouldered gray t-shirt, a beanie, Westwood for Melissa pink pumps and a Campbell Soup clutch. While we’re still waiting for Pam’s Spring Summer 2009 Ad Campaign for Vivienne Westwood, this is an exclusive preview of what Vivienne Westwood can do for her and viceversa. Is she a Westwood girl? Or it’s another one of those celebs-representing-anything-in-the-name-of-cash? You can vote right after the picture! (photos via celebutopia)

Katie Holmes And Tom Cruise For NYTimes T Magazine
December 8th, 2008 by kpriss
How do you manage a media magnet couple in the same issue of a magazine? How do you handle their percentages? Do you get more for the girl (out of simple, elementary respect) or for the guy?
What if that couple was Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise? For NY Times T Magazine? How would you put them side by side? Lying on the sofa? Comfortably sitting in their respective chairs? So many questions, only one answer – the current issue of T Magazine with Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. Side by side. Kinda.. (more after the jump)
