Beyonce’s House Of Dereon Spring 2009
January 28th, 2009 by kpriss
Since it’s all about fashion show these days (with the couture collections), I thought I’d surprise you with Beyonce’s House of Dereon (and Dereon) ad campaign.
Because last I heard, your emotions took over your every other Beyonce-sense, it’s a good moment to see if her “creations” shall overcome your fashion righteous feeling. The new Spring 2009 ad campaign for Dereon and House of Dereon was shot in Bermuda.
Even if Bee thought she was the one controlling the wind and the clouds, remember that she’s only a singer (talented and smartly marketed) and she might not control the art of clothing-making. Does she? (you can watch the clip right after the jump) (via photo via dailymail.co.uk)
Pamela Anderson For Vivienne Westwood Ad Campaign SS09 By Juergen Teller
January 27th, 2009 by kpriss
I came across these pictures today: Pamela Anderson ad campaign for Vivienne Westwood Spring Summer 2009 finally revealed (after that Art Basel Miami teaser)!
Looking at the pictures I can’t decide if I should just run and hide or simply take pride on Juergen Teller’s fashionable work with one of the world’s most recognizable and controversial faces.
Pamela Anderson, Vivienne Westwood (and Dame Viv’s husband Andreas Kronthaler) look like having fun making this campaign. The pictures could very well be holidays photos since there’s no pressure in showing off the clothes or the model’s marketing capacities. Marion Cotillard Does Madame Figaro In January
January 27th, 2009 by kpriss
It would not come as a surprise that I really like Marion Cotillard. I said it before and here I go again with recent pictures of her from Madame Figaro.
The new Dior girl was photographed by Bruno Dayan for one of the January issues of French Supplement Madame Figaro. I think she’s one of those French beauties who can really speak without saying a word.
Who could make you feel every emotion she plays on the big screen with the same authenticity as if it was your very own.
I’m glad Marion got the Hollywood recognition as well, she deserves it! Do you think the European wave is the fresh blood needed in Hollywood? (don’t miss the rest of the pictures from Madame Figaro right after the jump!) (photos via tfs)

Armani Privé Spring 2009 Couture Paris Fashion Show
January 27th, 2009 by kpriss
Haute Couture. There’s nothing like it. No Prêt-à-Porter fashion will ever match or top the real catwalk dream that is the Haute Fashion.
Armani Privé Spring 2009 Couture was composed of 61 models, mostly gray, beige and noir with few splashes of electric blue, yellow and red. The collection had a retro air with a sci-fi twist and a serious Asian flavor. (don’t miss the entire collection, right after the jump)
Freida Pinto In Lilac Marchesa Dress At 2009 SAG Awards
January 26th, 2009 by kpriss
Even if Eva Longoria didn’t went for Marchesa at the 2009 SAG Awards ceremony, I can still give you a certified Marchesa on the 2009 SAGs Red Carpet!
Freida Pinto! The new superstar courtesy of Slumdog Millionaire chose a simple lilac number from Marchesa. It didn’t do a world of justice to her tiny frame but she kept it flawlessly minimal and her natural smile helps a lot.
That changes a bit the mustard Christian Lacroix from the Golden Globes, dress that was judged too severely in my opinion. But the lilac works wonderfully with her skin also and that’s why I don’t find it difficult to see only the good in this Marchesa. Do you? (photos via celebutopia)

Eva Longoria In Peachy Jenny Packham Dress At 2009 SAG Awards
January 26th, 2009 by kpriss
I wonder how it feels like to be a Red Carpet designer! There must be a huge pressure to get the celebs all dolled up and ready for special events, meeting their every exigence!
Marchesa is one of those Red Carpet designers. And Eva Longoria is one of the Marchesa girls. This peachy number is as princess-ish as ever, with a generously embellished neckline and regardless how surprising this may sound, Eva doesn’t wear Marchesa for this 2009 SAG Awards night!
She went for a tangerine Jenny Packham dress instead, from the Spring Summer 2009 collection. The light orange is going au merveille with Eva’s tan but it looks too summerish for my taste. What about you, like Eva’s Jenny Packham? (photos via celebutopia)
Don’t Buy A Dress And Win A 2009 SAG Award Like Meryl Streep!
January 26th, 2009 by kpriss
Winning an award when you’re not the most glamorous on the Red Carpet? Yes you can!
The proof is Meryl Streep winning the SAG Award for Best Leading Female Actor (Doubt) in 2009! Her fellow actors and actresses were enchanted by Meryl’s sincere joy receiving her with standing ovations!
Meryl Streep (known to many fashionistas for her role in The Devil Wears Prada) begun her acceptance speech with something unexpected: “wow! I didn’t even buy a dress!” stepping aside and showing her black pants and black blouse. (more after the jump)
Jenna Fischer In Gray Pamella Roland Dress For 2009 SAG Awards
January 26th, 2009 by kpriss
Remember Jenna Fischer’s Golden Globes flowery appearance? Well for the 2009 SAG Awards she played it safe with a gray dress signed Pamella Roland.
It’s a discreet yet beautiful dress with a gems-embroided high waistline in white and yellow. Her peep toe pumps in beige satin were irreproachably matched with the dress. Well done, Jenna Fisher! Always wear that smile and it’ll make anything look gorgeous on you!
(she also talked about the upcoming Super Bowl episode of The Office teasing everyone with scoops about a hilarious scene with the copy machine.) (photos via celebutopia)
UPDATE: They say there’s no true courage unless you admit your wrongs. Well, I admit it: I overheard it wrong – Jenna Fischer had a Pamella Roland (not Pamela Rollins like I originally stated) dress, from the Spring 2009 collection, Hellmuth and Neil Lane jewelry.
