Someone who’s alleged baby bump I was amused to watch (and talk about), Eva Longoria, served a beautiful flapper dress signed Marchesa.
Even if it looked every inch a curtain, the silver dress enlightened Eva’s face and made her look like a retro doll. She also kept it simple, accessorizing it with a pair of sparkling earrings, perfectly matched with the color of her dress and silver high heel shoes. Truthfully pleasantly surprised by Eva’s Marchesa dress, I hereby declare her as one of the best dressed from the Emmy Red Carpet. I’ll pass her overcharged eye makeup, her trademark, already. Was that retro embroidery too much?

My favorite dress from the Met Costume Institute Gala was the purple Marchesa worn by Eva Longoria. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, maybe I just like dresses looking like shredded paper, but this dress really catches my eye.
The other Marchesa Girl is Dita Von Teese, snow-white-skin, comme d’habitude. Not really a fan of her outfit, but Dita has her own style, regardless of trends and fashion.

Summer is (finally) here and while we’re looking for the perfect neutrals to match the perfect tan we’ll be getting this season, peaking at the rich and famous is always a good idea. As they have the means and they get the influential coverage to set trends and inspire fashions.
On May 14th, Europe’s most prestigious Film Festival rolled out the most impressive Red Carpet of them all. 11 days of glamour and continuous inspiration for all fashion people worldwide! As I keep one eye on the formal happening and one on the street fashion, I just realized that form fitting beige is the new black! Take a look at Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian here:

If you needed more proof that the 2013 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet was, to put it gently, poorly represented, join me for a discussion about the Monique Lhuillier girls!
Both Eva Longoria and Nina Dobrev were wearing dresses from Monique Lhuillier’s Spring Summer 2013 collection. Which wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all. Except that while Nina Dobrev perfectly wears her teal dress, Eva Longoria’s purple maxi gown is clearly a bad fashion choice.

Every now and then there has to be a double-Marchesa for a Red Carpet event. And for the 2010 edition of the Oscars Ceremony we have our double Marchesa with Sandra Bullock and Vera Farmiga.
Quite opposite styles, though both signed by Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, the two dresses don’t do that much justice to the wearers. Yes, I could say that in Vera Farmiga’s case, the complexion, the matching lipstick did a great job in glamouring up her Red Carpet appearance, however, in Sandra Bullock’s case I’m not so sure this is the best she could do. (At least she admitted having chosen the dress because it was her daughter’s favorite!) What say you? (click through to see more images, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

Even if Eva Longoria didn’t went for Marchesa at the 2009 SAG Awards ceremony, I can still give you a certified Marchesa on the 2009 SAGs Red Carpet!
Freida Pinto! The new superstar courtesy of Slumdog Millionaire chose a simple lilac number from Marchesa. It didn’t do a world of justice to her tiny frame but she kept it flawlessly minimal and her natural smile helps a lot.
That changes a bit the mustard Christian Lacroix from the Golden Globes, dress that was judged too severely in my opinion. But the lilac works wonderfully with her skin also and that’s why I don’t find it difficult to see only the good in this Marchesa. Do you? (photos via celebutopia)

I wonder how it feels like to be a Red Carpet designer! There must be a huge pressure to get the celebs all dolled up and ready for special events, meeting their every exigence!
Marchesa is one of those Red Carpet designers. And Eva Longoria is one of the Marchesa girls. This peachy number is as princess-ish as ever, with a generously embellished neckline and regardless how surprising this may sound, Eva doesn’t wear Marchesa for this 2009 SAG Awards night!
She went for a tangerine Jenny Packham dress instead, from the Spring Summer 2009 collection. The light orange is going au merveille with Eva’s tan but it looks too summerish for my taste. What about you, like Eva’s Jenny Packham? (photos via celebutopia)

So Cannes 2012 is already at its second day! Its Red Carpet makes for one of the most glamorous Celebrity Fashion reports and, as such, I’m bringing you the dress that impressed me the most in the Cannes 2012 Opening Night.
Diane Kruger’s custom pale aqua Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress was all kinds of fairy – tale-ish. The cape fluttered in the wind creating this surreal vision of style worn gracefully by flawless Diane in front of the photographers’ cascading enthusiasm.
Right after the jump (click here for the gallery), you’ll also see images of the amazing Jane Fonda wearing a shimmery rose Atelier Versace body hugging sequined dress; Tilda Swinton glowing in bronze Haider Ackermann dress, Berenice Bejo flawlessly presenting on the Cannes scene in a red Louis Vuitton dress; Freida Pinto courageously showing some leg in Michael Angel dress; the always adorable Eva Longoria wearing a very embellished Marchesa mermaid dress and Eva Herzigova paying a very thin homage to Marilyn Monroe in a sparkling Dolce & Gabbana dress and Chopard jewelry.
