Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day and a great weekend! Besides being blessed with the most wonderful family and spending special days like this one in peace and love with them, we also had another event we attended this past weekend: two dear friends got married and we were honored to be there.

Fighting against natural or fake tanning bad skin habits could be more effective if we had something revolutionary to substitute the harmful UV ways responsible for that gorgeous tan. Self tanning lotions were just the beginning!

Our hearts went for Azzedine Alaïa who was snubbed from Met’s Model as Muse exhibition. We applauded Naomi and Stephanie who refused to participate the Benefit Gala because of the Alaïa incident. Now we learn that Stephanie Seymour is, actually, going through a messy divorce from her husband of 16 years and father of her three kids. Is that your Alaïa incident, Stephanie? (Graziadaily)

Johnson’s 50th anniversary of No More Tears brings celeb moms and happy bidders together! Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba help Johnson’s Global Charity Initiative by donating few items for auction chez eBay.

Gwyneth and Tracy Anderson (Gwyneth’s and Madonna‘s personal trainer) donate a “get fit” workout experience and Jessica Alba donates two strollers, baby girl clothing and a diaper bag filled with baby goodies (whatever that means!). (the story continues right after the jump!)

On March 23rd, something amazing happened in Antwerp. Their Central Station was filled with the Sound of Music! Literally!

Now this is the kind of advertising pushing me off the economy edge right into the store! I’m not a fan of Chanel No.5 (or at least not yet) but I’m definitely a fan of Audrey Tautou’s ad for the legendary perfume!

Billie Holliday’s I’m a fool to want you brings such a nostalgic, tragic air to Jean Pierre Jeunet’s short film that the ad looks like 100% romance on film. Of course there’s the same one-night-stand affair theme that has been bugging the Kaiser for some time now, but then there’s something else… That feeling of eternal love, transported through time and space, an eternity-long romance making the hearts melt, the pockets empty and the Chanel No.5 legend go on, and on… and on… Wouldn’t you go out and buy that loving feeling? It’s been two days now and the FashInternet is still buzzing about Azzedine Alaïa’s left out from the Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion. Protesting against the scandalous gesture, Naomi and Stephanie (Seymour) didn’t show for the Benefit Gala.

The scandal took such proportions that even Michelle Obama was implicated. She was wearing a black sleeveless dress when she attended Time’s 100 Most Influential People event (which took place 24hours after the Met Gala). Nothing unusual so far, right? There’s no end to the supers kingdom! Rumors started to swirl around the Fashinternet saying that Peter Lindbergh’s Wild at Heart motorcycle shoot with Cindy, Claudia, Helena, Karen, Linda, Naomi and Tatjana is ready for a reload! The original photos from 1991 are being recreated by the Harper’s Bazaar staff for a super-cover. Who knows, maybe they’ll even wear Alaia for that cover! (The Imagist via Fashionologie)
