The 2009 CFDA Awards Winners

Dechiré and bandage chic set the fashion tone! Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy were honored with the CFDA Award for Womenswear Designer of the Year.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America also decided that the most notable emerging designer is Alexander Wang (womenswear and Tim Hamilton for Menswear). Anna Sui received the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award and Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton the International Award. Michelle Obama was also honored with the Special Tribute of CFDA’s Board of Directors. (via)

How To Make A Unique Shirt!

I’m with the clumsy ones. In the kitchen, everywhere, I can’t seem to keep the stains off me! Because I sometimes refer to myself as a Napoleon wannabe but hardly really work it out, I get an authentic menu imprint on my clothes when I’m cooking the day’s meal.

But the Internet has that funny, most amazing way to twist things around and give you some crazy DIY ideas. For instance – the unique shirt, design by you! All you need is ink (an old pen or a new one you’re willing to sacrifice in the name of design) and a plain white shirt. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures)

Pregnant, Not Pregnant

Thus goes the rumors fashion! But paps photos don’t lie, Gisele! And when you wave that scarf carelessly around, there’s a tiny chance we just laid our eyes on the Bundchen-Brady baby bump!

I know, I know, I may be jumping to conclusions, but wouldn’t you love to see how that baby would look like (and join in the Bundchen baby bump watch patron for your morning cafe)? (photos via)

Marion Cotillard Does BlackBook Magazine June 2009

Charming Marion Cotillard covers BlackBook magazine June 2009 looking all beautiful and unrecognizable in Marc Jacobs (whose creations seem to be really French-popular).

The problem with Marion is that no matter how gorgeous the styling and how hearththrobing the outfits, you just can’t take Marion and put her in a scenario-less, storylacking fashion shoot. Because she’s just not that kind of girl, not that kind of face. There’s something I do love about this BlackBook June with Marion Cotillard (besides that everywhere-popping Versace gliterry mini dress): that she’s a healthy impersonation of beauty! I miss that in magazines! Don’t you? (more pictures right after the jump!) (photos via)

Longchamp Fall Winter 2009 2010 With Kate Moss and Daria Werbowy

I haven’t been a fan of Longchamp’s Spring Summer campaign with Kate Moss and Sasha Pivovarova and their pseudo couple-ing up in the name of Longchamp. But Longchamp is really a fan of Kate Moss!

However, seeing Daria Werbowy (could you really say it’s her?) and Kate (sharing no chemistry whatsoever) fronting a sailor-boy shady lineup makes me run and hide. Now I know Kate Moss has really been around fashion for some time, but is she really suited for mentoring? (the story continues right after the jump)

Ride The Benz. The Mercedes-Benz Bike!

Now really, if Chanel can do it, than surely Mercedes-Benz will come up with a riding solution to upscale the bicycle riding as we know it.

This must be one of those industrial clever schemes to drawn profit from under every rock, no matter how economically unstable it really is! Mercedes-Benz The Trailblazer is a foldable, luxurious, undoubtedly peak of technology equipped mountain bike. There’s no reason to stay behind the wheel when you can ride a Mercedes Benz bike! I’m still looking forward to the Bat-bicycle and more of the kind (when Marc Jacobs will start designing bunny eared bikes, I’ll be in serious trouble!) (via)
