Andy Warhol’s Artistic Work As Children’s Book Illustrator
December 8th, 2009 by kpriss
Did you know that Andy Warhol did illustrations? And not just any kind of illustration – Children’s books illustrations? I didn’t! So I thought it would be an interesting find to share!
Especially after all that so-called fashionart Muse Magazine! Andy Warhol illustrated The Little Red Hen in 1958. Though many versions of this story are available, the illustrations as handmade here by Andy Warhol are faithful to the original fable. Though Andy Warhol is not an easy-to-hear name, his crushing genius wasn’t as clear in 1958 as we could have been tempted to believe (he was 30-year old at the time). Lindsay Lohan Is Muse No 20
December 8th, 2009 by kpriss
Muse is an artsy fancy magazine based in Milan. Far from being celebrity – focused, Muse magazine’s 20th cover is held by tabloids girl extraordinaire, Lindsay Lohan.
With an improbably surprising title “Lindsay Exposed”, the Muse pictorial is supposed to recreate Kate Moss and Johnny Depp back in their four years relationship, in the mid/late 90s (Johnny is impersonated by Petey Wright, a young male model). Suri’s Spanish Pink Flamenco
December 7th, 2009 by kpriss
Needless to say she’s wearing high heels shoes. Again! But what about that pink flamenco dress? Little Suri Cruise is wearing a pink flamenco dress with red polka dots high heels shoes at the sandbox? Why?
I know (physically) we don’t conserve much from our childhood memories to store and compare for further (better) living. Even so, I’m convinced the Cruises have so many counselors and advisers, they don’t have to tell red from white by themselves. Still, dressing up your child as if she were a doll and let her play in the sand (somewhat) makes me shiver. Why? (the following took place in Seville, Spain, December 5th. Avril Lavigne Is Having Weight Issues?
December 7th, 2009 by kpriss
It’s not uncommon for a celebrity to have a fair share of weight issues. I’ll end up thinking it’s a celebrity stunt and move on. This time it’s Avril Lavigne, recent divorcee who’s taking the balance spot light (it’s either that or she’s a perfect candidate for a baby bump speculation).
I’m just curious: will she keep her Abbey Dawn fashion line, continue “designing” it even if she won’t be her usual tiny self? Will she agree to have a decent, healthy sizing to her clothing line or will she deny every weight issue we’ll speculate and demonstrate through hereby attached images (followed by a lowering under the radar and later on resurfacing with no extra weight attached whatsoever? And is all that due to her recent divorce? You can see the gallery here) (photos via 1, 2)

Christian Louboutin Pharrell Studded Sneakers Summer 2010
December 7th, 2009 by kpriss
I told you I like Pharrell? As a musician? I guess not – well, here comes: I like N.E.R.D., I like Pharrell’s music!
That doesn’t mean I’m blinded by the Pharrell Williams name and everything he touches, pleases my senses. Nope. That doesn’t apply for his chairs and nor does it apply to his sneakers! Yes, like so many others, Pharrell designed (?) a pair of sneakers. Now he put on his Louboutins and showed them off on his blog. The new Pharrell Louboutins Spring Summer 2010 look like this: (the story continues right after the jump with more images; you can click here to see the gallery)

Kiehl’s And Kaws Do Body Care Line
December 7th, 2009 by kpriss
Contemporary art is getting under your skin! Kaws has worked on a special collaboration with Kiehl’s for a body lotion line.
It’s not much, but it’s the season: Kaws’ label design for Kiehl’s body cream designates a charity product, with 100% of the profits from this particular series going to charity. Do you think an artsy label is enough to make you buy a product? ( Artek NYC via DobyBrain

Victoria Beckham’s Casual Blue Jeans
December 7th, 2009 by kpriss
There’s something about Victoria Beckham and flats. Something about Victoria Beckham and casual, laid-back style: they just don’t cross paths!
And when they do, seas turn purple, oceans turn pink! The earth stops and the ants put on their best Spice Girl album and do the joy dance! In short: Victoria Beckham was seen wearing flats, a classic blue shaded pair of boyfriend jeans (which appear not to be her own denim label), a blue cap and a blue sweater. Wish slashed back (nobody’s perfect). Doesn’t she look lovely? (photos via)
