Shaggy Strength Of A Woman
March 12th, 2010 by kpriss
Na-na! Don’t laugh, now! This week, we’ve been (read I’ve been) passing too easily through the International Women’s Day (post-Oscar rush) so I’m making up for it!
This is one of the most amazing songs I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening glorifying this world’s women. Shaggy. Yes, Shaggy! His Strength of a Woman uplifts me no matter what I’m doing or how cloudy the skies decide to be that day! (or night!) Thank you for this most amazing week, again! For your great and insightful comments, I hope you’re ready for the greatest weekend yet! Enjoy Shaggy’s Strength Of A Woman! (more info right after the jump!)
(untitled) By Maison Martin Margiela, Perfume For Women
March 12th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s been a while since we last talked about perfumes! Well here I go with the first fragrance issued by Maison Martin Margiela. It’s for women and it’s called “(untitled)”. Pretty Margiela right? You wouldn’t have seen a perfume called “Blue Iris” or “Pink Daisy” from them, wouldn’t you?
On the outside, it’s a simple bottle looking like it’s been dipped in white paint, round-ish and minimal. On the inside it’s a raw floral woody green fragrances with tones of Galbanum, box green, lentiscus, incence, bitter orange. Available in Maison Martin Margiela boutiques worldwide and in perfumeries from April 2010, the new fragrance from Maison Martin Margiela comes with a disturbed/disturbing ad (you can see it right after the jump!). I doubt that’ll stand in the way of hipsters emptying those perfumeries shelves! Would it?
Lady Dior Lady Rouge And Franz Ferdinand The Eyes Of Mars
March 12th, 2010 by kpriss
You knew this was coming. You even heard it on the radio. Maybe. And maybe, just maybe, you haven’t seen it yet! So here’s Marion Cotillard’s Lady Dior Lady Rouge singing with Franz Ferdinand The Eyes of Mars.
I’m an open spirit, you know I am! And I’m addicted to music. Really. Even when I write my articles, I have to have music playing in my ears. Friday after Friday (and more) I’ve been proving my musicality. Now I’m really trying to see beyond Lady Rouge’s Dior-ism and get the musical parallel in The Eyes of Mars. All I’m getting is betrayal. Fashion – betrayal. Betrayal – fashion… What slips my logic there?

Street Style Photographers, The New Paparazzi
March 11th, 2010 by kpriss
Big/small screen celebrities have their paparazzi stalking them everywhere they go. Style celebrities have their own paparazzi hordes now: the street style photographers slash bloggers.
The style front these days is pretty crowded so if you’re an aspiring blogger slash street photographer, you must be armed and ready! It’s war out there! (also, if you’re a very stylish fille ou garcon, put on your best shades, flashes comin’ your way!) (photo via)
Packaging Style: Banana Leaves
March 11th, 2010 by kpriss
If you’ve seen the last episode of Lost (one of the few TV series I actually watch, raison de plus – it’s Lost’s last season…), you might have noticed Miles carrying some food to Linus on a banana leaf. I don’t know if that was inspired by real life facts or the other way around (my logic leads me to the last hypothesis, since this Lost episode wasn’t aired until now and the banana leaf incident didn’t struck me before, even if they were shown eating or around camp pretty often).
To keep it short: there’s a new packaging at the eco-horizon: the banana leaves! The idea was showcased at a design competition and its author, Tal Marco, really brings something old however strikingly new to the concept of packaging. We are talking about food packaging, not handbags or jewelry. Though… What do you think? Would you wrap your sandwich in a banana leaf? (via)
Bad Dog Hair Day!
March 10th, 2010 by kpriss
I could on endlessly about how wrong this sounds. And still! The look of it just takes me away! To a happy place!
This unairbrushed cutie with frizzy hair is a real dog. A winning one, actually! He just won a very important competition recently so let’s be happy for him! Happy enough to make this Hump Day a Happy one! (well, if you insist: this is Rascal. He’s seven, he’s an African Sand Dog and contrary to what you might think, he’s just been awarded with the title “World’s Ugliest Dog”! How unfair is that? Look at him! Just look at that face!) Jennifer Aniston And Gerard Butler Do W Magazine April 2010
March 10th, 2010 by kpriss
Looking down on those incessant rumors about a relationship between Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, W Magazine goes the whole nine yards and splashes a Domestic Bliss-like issue with the two mentioned above.
Remember Domestic Bliss? With Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? It was the coming out for them. Somewhat. What’s this W April 2010 supposed to be? (Yes, sure I know about the Bounty Hunter and that’s soon to be released, yet, one cannot hold back the imminent suppositions and speculations. Gossip, baby, it’s all about gossip. And magazines sales: don’t miss the two photos from the pictorial right after the jump!) (photos via)

If you’re into designing clothing or accessories, what you must keep in mind is that bizarre sells. Don’t know bizarre? Scroll down!
What you’re about to see next is a rectangular structure in the shape of a cube with a discreet logo on the side: Cheap Monday. It doesn’t have anything to do with jeans, except that Cheap Monday success is based on jeans, this object is a Bracelet! Yes, the kind you put on your wrist and follow your daily routine. Or not. (in case you were wondering: it’s for men, it costs $30 and it’s currently sold out!) (via)
