Louis Bardo Bullock, Sandra Bullock’s Baby Boy!
April 28th, 2010 by kpriss
I promise I was heading for a perfectly wonderful, quiet day when I came across this piece of news: Sandra Bullock introduces her 3 –month-old baby boy to the world! Louis Bardo Bullock!
Now this is one best seller issue for People Magazine – it’s a People exclusive, photos and interview. The first time Sandra goes public after her much publicized crashed marriage with Jesse James (you don’t want to get me started on that one! Really, you don’t! so I’m just gonna keep it with little Louis Bardo Bullock, you know I can’t help it when I see a new baby in town). What do you make of this? (oh, where are my manners! Congrats, Sandra! It’s a wonderful baby and I hope you’ll be as happy as humanly possible! You deserve it, girl!)

DKNY Jeans Juniors Fall Winter 2010 Collection
April 27th, 2010 by kpriss
DKNY Jeans Juniors collection is not for the children, as you may have suspected just reading the title. (I thought it was for kids, I admit!) Oh, no! Juniors by DKNY standards is somewhere between 15 and 30, undecidedly grunge and definitely chic.
I’m having a hard time coping with the draped skinny pants (I think they’d look bad on almost anyone above size zero) but other than that, I’m loving everything else. The army-inspired layered looks, the frilly micro mini skirts (click through to see them)… I wonder if I qualify for Juniors with my “young at heart” spirit… maybe they’d ask an identity card upon making your order/payment… Do you have a DKNY Jeans Juniors favorite? Tavi Taken Down For Yohji
April 27th, 2010 by kpriss
Tavi Gevinson’s blog has been taken down (by her very own hosting – Blogger that is, owned by Google, that is) because of a particular picture (rumor has it). She published that picture for her 14th birthday with hopes that her 14th year will be even better than her (already amazing) 13th. And so it started, it seems!
Master Google has judged the content inappropriate (and I can relate to that, talking about a 14-year-old and certainly her readers around the same ages, at least) and they made the blog private. Spokespersons from grand master G’s offices say they’ve apologized for wrongful sanctioning and opened her blog again. Hm. It appears Tavi‘s not easy to please and she has taken her blog elsewhere (tavi-thenewgirlintown.blogspot.com is now redirected to thestylerookie.com). Too bad for Google… (read more here and here)
Converse All Star Light 2010 Collection
April 27th, 2010 by kpriss
If you haven’t seen these around already, then know you will, soon! I did and I had no idea what they were! After all, Converse is releasing a new shoe every day! (Adriana, that’ll be my meme for time to come!)
The All Star Lite Sneaker was built on the same platform as every other All Star out there. Only now it looks like half of the sole has been cut off! Imagined and made for a feminine foot with a narrower foot frame, the new Converse has additional arch support and minimal detailing. You may find a resemblance between the All Star Lite and the All Star Slim. They’re the new “skinny” Converse – one of her and one for him. Hypothetically. I’m sticking with my classic All Star. How about you? (Converse via tTG)
The Push – Up Bra. World’s First!
April 27th, 2010 by kpriss
For all of you out there still bringing thank you prayers to the Gods of Wonderbra (me included, occasionally) – there goes the epiphany: Wonderbra didn’t invent the push up bra! Oh, no, it was around for a couple of hundred years already!
Find it hard to believe? Say hello to the world’s first push-up bra! It was created in the early 1800s and though it may not be appealing in our calendar, it was actually enhanced to give it a plus (the lace detailing for a more interesting cleavage). Where can you see it? At the Science Museum in London (clearly the push-up technique is considered a science) for just a one-night show : April 28, 2010 is the night you’d want to go visit the Science Museum! (via)
The Missoni Aalto Tank Chair
April 27th, 2010 by kpriss
Have I already told you I love Missoni? Something about their knitted ways and iconic print makes them more powerful than a thousand LV monograms to me.
Naturally, I’m not the only one who thinks their prints are gold! Artek, the founding company of the Aalto Armchair (The Tank chair) designed by Alvar Aalto has initiated an anniversary project called “Dress the Chair”! Artek & Missoni have worked together on two armchairs and a stool, fashioning them up with the Missoni Kew, Leigh and Chevron prints. (the story continues right after the jump with more images!
