Would You Pay $900,000 For A Suit?
July 6th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s a tricky question in times like these, I know. However, the worldwide economic crisis didn’t stop Stuart Hughes and Richard Jewels from spending 600 man hours to produce the world’s most expensive man suit. Paying $909,000 for a clothing item seems a bit off, however, this suit should very well match the Eternal Diamond Stiletto as it’s studded with 480 diamonds.
Only three suits will be made by Stuart Hughes so I can only hope the matching shoes will be able to sustain all that glitter and diamond going on upstairs! (via)
Moschino BowWow Plastic Ballet Shoes With Kartell
July 6th, 2010 by kpriss
I’ve been trailing Melissa’s collections too much lately – here’s a Kartell break, promoting the same plastic ideas, however. The Spring Summer 2011 collection by Kartell and Moschino highlights the mythical powers of the bow.
The BowWow plastic ballet flat shoes looks like a Herve Leger bandage dress for your feet. Plus the Moschino bow. Obtained through an industrial molding process, the shoes were made from top-quality, non-toxic thermoplastic technopolymer, 100% recyclable. I haven’t tried them yet, but they do look pretty tasty all shiny and new. I guess it’s all about comfort and the test of time. Would you try the new BowWow from Kartell and Moschino? Goyard History Book In Goyard Custom Trunk
July 6th, 2010 by kpriss
While I was sitting here, starring at Paris Hilton’s busy case picture, I told myself there wasn’t a thing in the world Louis Vuitton hadn’t had/made/sold to reinforce their brand. And then pop! There goes Goyard!
Goyard, the exclusive Parisian luggage maker is going highly exclusive with a very limited edition of both books and trunks to highlight the history of the house. 233 numbered books will be available, each and every one locked in a trunk almost entirely customizable. Upon rendez-vous, the customer can choose the color of the canvas and designate the wanted initials and stripes to decorate his/hers Goyard case with. The book is an artifact in itself as it has been printed on custom made paper with Goyard’s own watermarks, courtesy of the Devambez publishing house. So, what’s your next move, LV? (via)

Clothes Lamps
July 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Have you ever considered placing your clothesline on your walls and make an illumination installation out of them? Someone did! An Italian architect and designer (Gaetano Pesce – sounds familiar? Think Melissa…) performed this rather unique installation for a restaurant.
Located in Florence, Il Cestello is the place where you’ll find clothes (which have been coated with a resin layer) pinned to a stainless steel rail lighting the night away. I’m impressed. But not as impressed as I should’ve been before reading the price tag: $6,250. Anyway, this is a lesson for anything standing in the way of your inspiration! Want to throw a party and you don’t have the right backyard lamps? How about some clothes to wash and hang here and there? (wright via psfk)
Cinderella Wears Louboutin Shoes!
July 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Can you believe we still live Cinderella times? Someone found a red sole Christian Louboutin shoe somewhere near Broadway. So what was he to do? He posted fliers for Cinderella to come claim her Loub ahem shoe.
Sadly, up until now, there was no response from her so it’s safe to assume other scenarios besides the fairytale one. Who would throw a $700 shoe? (well, technically $300 and something if you consider it’s only half of the $700 pair) (via)
Balmain Sunglasses With Oliver Peoples
July 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Now if I haven’t been quite excited with the latest news about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sunglasses collaboration it’s maybe because I knew about this one. Balmain and Oliver Peoples have teamed up for a special sunglasses moment: Balmain I and Balmain II.
Reinterpreting the aviator design, the new sunglasses are available in two sizes with a spicy price tag: $595. I’m guessing that won’t be a problem for Balmain admirers – if their $20,000 vests can become bestsellers, these shades won’t even have the time to see dust settling in on their precious frames before being bought by the fashpopulation. I still hang on to the original Aviator. How about you? (Oliver Peoples via Refinery29)

Heels Of Gold
July 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Now that I have your attention, please note that I’m considering the following image for the special label “world’s ugliest shoes” as the ones already holding the honorable title have been seriously challenged by these Hoof Heels.
Made by Roxanne Jackson from ceramic, platinum gold luster, flock, glaze and fur, they look more suited for a museum display than someone’s feet. Time will prove us where they really belong. What do you think? (Roxanne Jackson via Likecool)
The Real House Of Gaga…
July 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Lady Gaga hasn’t graced the gossip fuel tank with anything new recently. Though I’m sure she’s on to something scandalous, we’ve been deprived of our daily dose of Gaganess. And that is just unthinkable.
For some. Thus in just two days two different Gaga residences have appeared. Both claiming to be the real House Of Gaga. I don’t know which is real and which is not, and where does actually Gaga lays her deranged… ahem inspired head down. There’s just one thing I’d like you to tell me – if Lady Gaga is such an unalterable source of inspiration and modernity, borderline troubled art, why do both residences look so… normal? Ordinary, I might say, if it wasn’t for all that ostentatious luxury? (click trough to see more images!) (via 1, 2)
