The Fashion Body Project – The Right Hand By Nick Knight

Being a famous fashion photographer, you’d say that Nick Knight already has an eye for The Fashion Body. And this may just be the case, only he’s sending the message in a cryptic manner.

A series of fashion short films will be made for Nick Knight’s Fashion Body project. I’ve been submerged by the beauty of “The Right Hand”, a short film signed by Knight himself. Which should be about the right fashion hand. Because I haven’t found a way to embed the actual video, I’m inviting you to take a look at the short film here and then we’ll share visions. Looking forward to the rest of the project (The Right Shoulders by Rick Owens, The Right Ribs by Liberty Ross – even Lady Gaga has a project – probably the most awaited one), a total of 30 short films puzzling up the Right Fashion Body. It’s hard to imagine something simpler for an ad campaign signed Stella McCartney for the Fall Winter 2010 2011 season. Natalia Vodianova wearing an oversized (typical men model) cardigan with a bunch of happy, childish graphics all around her.

I actually doubt the real star of the ad is Natalia. The real focus of this ad print (so far) seems to be the funny writing (a far cry from those Kate Moss ads Stella used to do a while back). Can you honestly stare at something else besides the funny little hats, hands and spiders? (photo via)

There’s a serious wind of change in celebdom. Not only big/small screen/stage personalities will have merchandising deals associated with their public personas.

Latest the join the game is Katy Perry who’ll launch her cat-shaped perfume Purr this very November. Inspired by “the Japanese world and all things completely cute”, Katy Perry’s Purr has top notes of peach nectar and a basket full of other fruits and flowers. All things cute.

Beware, shallow people, Anna dello Russo, the fierce editor of Vogue Japan will take the perfume shelves by storm with her Beyond fragrance. There’s no word of either Carine Roitfeld or Anna Wintour following her scent steps. Who do you think will sell better? Katy Perry or Anna Dello Russo? (via, images via 1, 2)

Now since we talked about Doutzen and her baby bump, let me show you this wonderful bag for both mother and child to enjoy. It’s a wonderful thing since I myself often walk around with my toddlers and (especially) when I’m buying something, I can’t hold on to their hands so I ask them to hold on to my bag instead. So I know they’re always near me, even if I don’t hold their hands.

This bag comes as heaven sent for the mother and child walkabouts, with that extra handle. I bet you know at least one mommy who’d have great use for this bag, don’t you? (available here; via)

With all the models turning into moms out there, you’d think maternity wear would hold no surprise for us. Tent dresses and then some more tent dresses. But not for Doutzen Kroes, oh no!

Our dear friend, Adriana, told us Doutzen announced her pregnancy (with her DJ boyfriend Sunnery James) just the other day. So it’s safe to assume she’s now barely in her second trimester (four months along). Doutzen made her first public appearance after the announcement. Dressed in orange. An orange mini dress! With flat stomach panel. Now ain’t that some fancy dress for a pregnant miss? (photos via)

I’m a heavy tea drinker. I enjoy all kinds of tea, however, starting today, I’m seriously considering banning Twinings from my pantry. Rumor has it that they’re bringing Lady Gaga to ad star for them.

It’s just a certified rumor so things are not yet official. However, the simple thought of having to choose from green tea, black tea and Gaga tea revolts my stomach beyond any corporate politics ever. Am I getting to sensitive about these things? (via, images via 1, 2, 3, 4)

I love all kinds of gadgets and, above all, I treasure versatility: in my wardrobe, in my house. However, when it comes to these lipstick heels (as illustrated below by Alberto Guardiani’s shoes), I’m really not feeling the fashion thrill.

At least as far as Jamie Foxx is concerned, his retrieving hairline can be hidden under a thick layer of ink. The actor was recently spotted with tattoos covering his entire shaved crane.

Let’s hope it’s for a movie role, he’s been out for some time now, he should seriously consider more consistent parts. Forget the hair, Jamie, grow some acting instead! What say you? Is baldness something to cover up? Especially with tattoos? (photos via)
