If you had any doubts that stripes are going strong this season, do check out this gorgeous photo below! There’s hardly anything cuter, more fashionable, style-sensitive or simply amazing way to wear stripes!
It’s the Stripes family taking the beach, ya’ll! Where’s the Kaiser? Here’s how it’s done, Monsieur Karl, here’s how it’s done! All you need it’s a stretch of that vivid fashimagination and a pinch of humor! (the photo was taken by Matt Stuart, feel free to check out more of his amazing photowork here; via)
No More Rodarte M.A.C.
August 18th, 2010 by kpriss
And they say the Internet doesn’t do much in the fashworld! Soon they’ll all see that everything is web and the web is everything! No, no, I’m not preaching, I’m just making an honest remark! Have you heard the latest about M.A.C.’s Rodarte collection? Noooo, that’s riiiight! Because there ain’t none anymore!
Due to continuous public opinion fire (read the web squadrons caught fire when they found out Rodarte was planning some offending names for their M.A.C. collection), the now-oh-so-famous Rodarte makeup collection for M.A.C. will be no more. Instead a charity fund will be set to help the Juarez victims. Why do you think they decided to cancel the entire collection and not just change the names and still fire it away? (right after the jump you’ll find the press release explaining the above). (via)

The Zac Posen Wedding Dress As Worn By Coco Rocha
August 18th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s been a long time now and we finally have a look at Coco Rocha’s bride gown! As designed by Zac Posen, the white wedding dress is just as beautiful as the bride.
If we take Lara Stone’s dress and Coco Rocha’s, we could safely assume that there’s a mermaid fashion sweeping the wedding fashion shores. Sure, that won’t match the Vera Wang bridal legend, however, it’s always good to know the latest and the most fashionable wedding gestures, is it? If you were to wed (if you haven’t yet), what would be your dream gown? (photo via)
The Met’s American Women More Successful Than Models
August 18th, 2010 by kpriss
It’s been a long, successful exhibition for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The doors have closed on the Costume Institute’s American Women: Fashioning a National Identity leaving the statistics deal with numbers and facts.
And what we know already is that the American Women exhibition was more attractive than last year’s The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion, bringing in 335,000 visitors, more than the Models (297,000). If only Madame Wintour have had the idea to bring something Hollywood-ish inside the Met, just like she does for her Vogue, nothing would have matched that crowd appeal! Eh, Anna? Who’s next at the Met? (via)
Extreme Shoes Not Fashionable Anymore Said Bruno Frisoni
August 18th, 2010 by kpriss
We’ve heard that one before, haven’t we? They all warned us last year that there’ll be no more high heels around. That the reign of the towering heel is over. And so the fashindustry has found a new way to go around that: the towering platforms.
However, Bruno Frisoni now tries to make it more official by putting a designer name on the extinction order. The creative mind behind Roger Vivier shoe works said that everyone (and their dog if we give it time) wears extreme shoes. Which, logically, doesn’t make it extreme anymore. It makes it ordinary. Gaga wouldn’t approve, I’m sure (if she only gave a flying duck on what we think/wear). So with the authority invested in me by Bruno Frisoni, shoe designer extraordinaire, I’m telling you that in order to be fashionable, you have to wear flat shoes and low/mid heels! How do you see the new heel world order? (via)
Gucci’s Guilty Trailer
August 18th, 2010 by kpriss
Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood have a video ad coming up. For Gucci. For Gucci Guilty. The new fragrance for her.
Directed by Frank Miller (Daredevil, Elektra, Sin City, 300), the new ad is promising, sure, but just as guilty-unrelated as before. The ad will be revealed at the MTV Video Music Awards, September 12. Let’s hope the chemistry between the two stars will age better than wine, we’re less than a month away and Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood share more chemistry than a horse and a crystal chandelier. Not to complain, but that guilt – it’s surely not love-related, is it? (right now I’m feeling guilty for having spent more time on this subject than it really deserves!)

Constance Jablonski For Hermes Fall Winter 2010 2011 Ad Campaign
August 17th, 2010 by kpriss
Do I need another pretext to tell you just how much I love everything – Hermes? Maybe… Do you need another pretext to find out about the wonders Hermes is preparing for the new season? Definitely!
We’ve seen Karlie Kloss in the Spring 2010 Ad Campaign for a fairy tale-ish Hermes. Now it’s time to darken up, tighten up and watch Constance Jablonski doing the magic for the Fall Winter 2010 2011 Hermes Ad Campaign. It’s about Zorro. Or so I think. It’s pure delight, all immortalized through Paolo Roversi’s lenses. I just hope they have enough fairy tales inspiration and that they’d go on working their advertorial spells on us next year too! What do you think? Is it better than Karlie’s Spring campaign? Worse? (don’t miss the rest of the images right after the jump! click here for the gallery!) (photos via)
