Shu Uemura Christmas 2010 Makeup Collection
October 4th, 2010 by kpriss
We’re barely at the pumpkin moments and the fashindustry is getting ready to celebrate Christmas. Which, honestly, I don’t mind at all! I’m such a sucker for everything Christmas-y!
Shu Uemura’s makeup collections always surprise me. Be it with a twist of the classics (remember the fake eyelashes collection) or downright innovations (fake eyelashes again, only the mirror kind). This time they’re going Abracadabra on us with a wonderful, joyful collection on the girly side.
Madonna Sans Photoshop For Dolce And Gabbana Ad Campaign
October 3rd, 2010 by kpriss
Didn’t you miss a good dose of photoshop-less ad campaign pictures? Madonna photoshop-less pictures are my favorites, by far! She’s such an iconic piece of media work, I’m always enjoying a bit of demystification of her media persona.
Remember her advertorial work for Dolce and Gabbana? Well, there she goes, in all her natural splendor, looking like one of us! Isn’t it reassuring? (I love a bit of backstage gossip, don’t you? Especially with all that Dolce & Gabbana talk earlier – it reminded me of this photoshop – op that was too good to miss out on!) (photos via)

The Fashion Of Being Safe
October 3rd, 2010 by kpriss
We’re all looking for a way to keep our precious belongings safe, aren’t we? Well, this time you can disguise all your valuables in a simple tank top.
Not really that simple, but clever enough to make believe. So it looks like a cotton tank top but when you take a closer look, you’ll discover multiple pockets with zippers destined to hide objects and documents. You can either hang it in your wardrobe, tuck it in a drawer, pack it away in a case, its deceiving looks will get you safe through the thief’s comb. Hopefully. Either way, it’s an ingenious proposal, isn’t it? (Magellan via BoJ)
Get Your Tabloid Story Straight!
October 3rd, 2010 by kpriss
There’s been a study initiated in order to help us get our weekly tabloid fix in full truth conscience. It’s always a good thing to know what you’re spending your money on.
Brangelina wars every week of the month for years and years, TV shows drama queens highlights, all the stories, all the lies, are we still willing to accept we’re being lied to and we are the ones to support that falsity on the newsstand? Just so you know, US Weekly is the most accurate tabloid and at the opposite is Star. You can put your trust in Life & Style (with an overall accuracy of 34%, and 25% cover accuracy while US Weekly is counting on an overall accuracy of 59% and 35% cover accuracy), less in In Touch (21% overall accuracy, 9% cover accuracy) and even lesser in OK! (14% overall accuracy, 7% cover accuracy). It’s impressive how we’re constantly being misled from the very cover, eh? (via)
Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2011 Collection
October 3rd, 2010 by kpriss
Is there a code for not wearing white every day of the week, seven days a week, every week of the month? Not, not that white after Labor Day thing! Sure, I’m willing to make one exception – for Christmas. Then I’d wear red. With something gold or silver and well, for every other day there’s white!
I loved, loved, loved Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring Summer 2011 collection! And not in a wedding – like love. Oh, no! I loved it for every day! From nine to five and beyond, white Dolce & Gabbana is my dream! (come, come click through and discover more from the collection!)
Why Rachel Zoe Ditched Brad Goreski
October 2nd, 2010 by kpriss
With his new flamboyant preppy look, mr Brad Goreski was obviously in danger to outshine Rachel Zoe from her very own Rachel Zoe project. Thus, recently the news of his parting ways with the notorious stylist came as a surprise for some, as predictable for others.
His style and fashvocabulary were noted by the NY Times which makes it quite a recognition note for the stylish Mr Goreski whose style was thoroughly copied by the fashmob. Would that be the reason Rachel got him out of her spotlight? Just to exemplify, below you can find some bits and pieces with Brad Goreski – using his own words – werking the lewk and mayjor-ing his personal fashion. More, more, more, how do you like it? Prada Spring Summer 2011 Collection
October 2nd, 2010 by kpriss
There’s something about Prada, isn’t there? I’m not the only one noticing how overwhelming Miuccia Prada’s bold influence has become lately. Her Spring Summer 2011 Prada collection tells no other story but one of brave fashion!
A seventies inspired collection in the Prada key looks interesting, with, apparently, no risky aesthetic incident. However, the vivid colors and the geometrical cuts feel so dramatic and theatrical that the complicated prints ensuing were a blessing for the eye and the spirit. Do click through and bring your inner fashion critic forth!
Tell Everyone How Much You Love Your Bike!
October 2nd, 2010 by kpriss
With the new bike designer fashion, there’s always place to show your newly discovered love for bicycling. Whether you’re into Hermes two wheeled vehicles or you’re loyal to your old bike, the Spread your Love bike tires could be an interesting addition for your bike.
The new tires design was signed by the Iranian designer Hamed Kohan and even if they won’t prove as efficient as many other professional bike tires profiles out there, the little hearts you leave behind guarantee you a unique, ephemeral, true, but original route. Why wouldn’t Hermes come up with H tires as well? (DB via tDW)
