Natalia Vodianova’s Harpers Bazaar December 2010

Natalia Vodianova’s Harper’s Bazaar December 2010 incident is a pretty interesting one. She gets the UK edition cover (newsstands and subscribers) and also the Arabian edition of the very same magazine title.

For all three occasions, she’s wearing some glittery gold attire. It’s for the Holidays season, sure, how about originality then? Inspiration? She sure is a lovely lady, Natalia, and I sure love gold-ish decorations around Christmas. I was just curious about what makes her so relevant for Harper’s Bazaar all of a sudden.. Any ideas? Fall Flowered Hairpiece?

Pretty much everything I saw / decorated lately was on the orange-y palette. Fall does that to one’s inspiration.

However, when it comes to fashion and true style, there’s no chromatic limitation whatsoever, not to mention seasonal influence. Or so I figured after I saw this (lovely) picture of a (lovely) lady wearing a flowers crown. White flowers crown. How is that fall-ish and how is that wearable on a fall fashion day, you tell me! (cast your vote right after the image!) (photo FaceHunter)

Lanvin For H & M Winter 2010. Lovely. Loving

As much as I wanted to not love this collection, I have to admit it’s pretty hard to stick to that thought. The teaser days are gone now and we’ve been graced with the campaign video en full.

Alber Elbaz who was afraid of bloggers, turns out, doesn’t have a thing to worry about from now on. His winter 2010 collection for H & M really is a hit and everyone (their respective dogs, cats and squirrels) simply love the fashionable outcome that is the new Lanvin Loves H & M collection. Party dresses I’d wear with my eyes clothes and my bed hair without worrying a second that anyone would mind my unfancy hair. Because I would be wearing Lanvin daaahling! Now click through and tell me what is your favorite piece from the collection modeled by Irina Lazareanu! (I included the men bow ties since I have this passion for bow ties turned headbands. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!) (via 1, 2)

Timberland And Pharrell Williams Bionic Yarn Shoes Collection

The fashion is recycling or not at all. If the mighty Pharrell Williams stuck his stylish nose into eco friendly materials and collections, then we’re on the good path!

So what’s our favorite N.E.R.D. up to? He teamed up with Timberland in order to create a particular shoes collection made with Bionic Yarn canvas. What does Bionic Yarn stand for? It’s a company co-owned by Pharrell that specialized in making fabric from cotton and recycled plastic bottles. Come January 2011, we’ll all be able to walk in Bionic Yarn shoes? I was wondering, though, how should we take this – Pharrell making an eco – friendly move just because? Should we be grateful for this vision of the future and embrace the new Bionic Yarn thing? Boucheron And Maximilian Busser’s Jwlry Machine Exquisite Owl Watch

I thought I’d give you this Halloween-ish treat today. As long as we’re in the proximity of this fantastic celebration, it won’t seem like a strange creation. I hope.

It’s a watch. A wristwatch. Unlike any other you’ve seen before. It looks more like a jewelry piece than a watch, which isn’t all that rare, unless you see the actual thing. Jewelry Machine was made by Boucheron and MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends) using amethyst, diamonds, quartz, sapphires and white gold. The owl shape could trick you, but remember, it’s all in the eyes: the hours and minutes are indicated by the owl’s eyes. I have to admit, it’s an amazing piece of extraordinary talent and even if I wouldn’t care for wearing such a statement watch, I feel enchanted by the shape and the idea of this JwlryMachine. What say you? (this exquisite Jwlry Machine is Boucheron’s take on MBANDF’s HM3 Starcruiser watch – you can see it here) (mbandf via)

Coffee Style Switch

And there goes another week! It’s hard to believe, really, that just a week ago I shared that Beach Black Tie madness with you! Are you sure it wasn’t yesterday?

Oh well, today I’m feeling a bit sleepy so I thought a Café Hump Day would be just what we needed. Yes, another cup of coffee. No, not for me, thank you, my newborn doesn’t appreciate caffeine. However, I’d be delighted if you would care to join me for a cup (I’ll have a nice cup of tea). What say you? Have a Happy Coffee Hump Day! (photo Martin Stranka via)
