Glittery Gold Temporary Tattoos

Because I find new things to put on my letter to Santa every day, I’ll be sharing those charming bits and pieces of Christmas with you also. Because I happen to loooove this season! I’m a sucker for Christmas-sy things! Aren’t you, really? I wish I could throw a party each day in December!

Now for today’s spark: 24karats Gold Temporary Tattoos! Isn’t that wonderful? Made actual gold or platinum (99,9%) the gold tattoos go for prices starting as low as $50 and going up, depending on the design (reaching even $5,500). Using the new tattoos as the new jewelry / body art, the technique seems to be a fashion in Dubai and, if we’re to believe the owner of the company that started all this, they’re planning to take over the Middle East before anything. So if you’re thinking of getting one of the golden temporary beauties, you’ll also have to consider a trip to Dubai. Do you think it’ll become a worldwide phenomenon? (via)

Freida Pinto’s BlackBook Magazine November 2010

With few films waiting to drop on the big screen, Freida Pinto was quite busy these last months. And that’s a good thing because we love Freida, don’t we? (at least I do – I like her way of being honest and true to herself and her wants)

Either way, there she goes, on the cover of BlackBook magazine, for their November 2010 issue, the Protest issue. Which may explain the cover a bit. Whatever she’s wearing, Freida remains gorgeous. There’s also an interview with Freida in this issue of BlackBook Magazine (and interview that you can find and read online here) as for the photos – they were taken by Richard Bernardin on location, during the Toronto Film Festival. Do hit the jump for more images with Freida from BlackBook and a short video from the shooting.

Valentino For Gap Collection

Have you seen the latest Lanvin Loves H & M collection? Sure you did! It’s all over the place, all over the news, all over the fashwebs! Wherever you turn, there’s a little bit from the new collection or the catwalk presentation of the extraordinary collaboration between Hennes & Mauritz and Alber Elbaz. A bit of Couture Heaven on Retail Earth. That’s how I see it. And I bet many of you feel the same.

You know what else falls in the same Couture Heaven on Retail Earth category? Valentino for Gap! I find it hard to resist the Gap charm, you know that already, so, naturally, I was highly interested in the new Valentino collection for Gap, signed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. (hit the jump for more looks!)

Christian Dior Orange Sandals SS 2011

You see, whenever the Holidays season comes around, I feel my heart jumping with childish innocent joy hoping that maybe this year Santa will get my letter and actually bring me everything on it. Because I’ve been a good, good girl!

And if I lost my chances with that Hermes bag a while back, now I’m at it again, tenaciously adding the Christian Dior Orange Feathered Sandals from the Spring Summer 2011 collection on the letter. Please, Santa? Say if you don’t want to add those on your letter too! (via)

Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Sigourney Weaver, V68 Winter 2010

How do you feel each and every time you read “fabulous at every / any age” as a magazine cover title? Fashion wise? How do keep up with fashion when it’s raining wrinkles? Should we be more concerned about experiencing emotions that will eventually be shown on our faces or about the latest designers collections?

I’m puzzled, you see… And I think fashion magazines don’t really help take out the pressure. V Magazine’s Winter 2010 2011 68th issue, however, is pretty inside and out. Starting with the amazing, aaaahhhmaaaazing-aaah covers: Jane Fonda, Sigourney Weaver, Susan Sarandon? And continuing with the content: Charlotte Rampling, Amanda Lear? (more right after the jump! click here for the gallery!)

Lily Aldridge Before Victoria’s Secret

Did you know Lily Aldridge before Victoria’s Secret? I admit, I didn’t. I had no idea who she was and that she was a model. Which comes as little surprise to one who’s bound to the original supermodels era. I’m an old school, told you that already…

However, when I heard that people were actually interested in Lily Aldridge because of her hair color and that everyone wanted to have the same color as hers, I opened my eyes on Lily. And found she was an incredibly sweet and lovely looking young woman. So maybe you might find the following video interesting? It’s Lily. About Lily. Before VS Lily. (via)

Perfect Bag By Marc Jacobs For Marc By Marc Jacobs

One of the most valuables arts when it comes to fashion and fashcommerce is knowing your real from your fake ones. If only there would be an universal guide to parting the imitators from the authentic designer work!

When you have all your data on how to spot the fakes, it’s no longer a matter of label. Or is it? Take a look at this distinctive label! It’s pretty interesting. Let’s read it together: Jacobs by Marc Jacobs For Marc By Marc Jacobs in Collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Marc by Marc Jacobs. I lost count there. Which is which. What is what? Help? (via)

Ready For Polaroid Jewelry?

Continuing the series of gifts for those who are impossibly passionate about photography, here’s the Polaroid shaped jewelry. Lovingly customizable, you can frame your very own picture in the Polaroid frame. Isn’t that something?

Imagine this as a cool gift for the photo passionate or for your loved ones; you can either frame a picture of yourself within or a portrait of someone significant to make this gift a personalized story. Anyway, I admit – I’m relieved to find such gifts, it’ll surely work wonders for me (who, need I remind you, I have no memory whatsoever when it comes to actual photography apparel or techniques). How do you find the wee Polaroids? (Etsy via)
