Ice T’s Coco Before And After
June 3rd, 2011 by kpriss
I may be feeling a bit holiday-ish these days and as a direct result, I’m chasing the celeb cum gossip news, see what the famous are about lately. I have discovered, however, new and interesting facts. One of them is that underneath think layers of glamour (almost) always lies a normal person.
Coco Austin, also known as Ice T’s wife, notorious for her curvy body more than anything, just made public few images of her when she was a teenager, sans bleached hair and surgical enhancements. And sans Ice T, of course. And what do you know? Nicole was a charming young lady with long, brunette locks and a healthy smile, a self described tomboy! Wasn’t she lovely? (via)

June 3rd, 2011 by kpriss
I have to share this with you! I know I said we should do a “by request” thing, but that was before I had an obsession on Jim Bianco’s Shut Up and Kiss Me!
It’s my new discovery, my new power play, heavy rotation thing. It’s funny, mad and sweet at the same time. My fashladies and fashgents, I hope you had a great week! Here comes the weekend! Come, join me for a crazy sing along – Jim Bianco’s Shut Up and Kiss Me is so adorable, you’ll instantly fall for it! (also – it’s a special mention for my Adored Husband whom I love and treasure and whatnot for all eternity and beyond! Shut Up and Kiss Me!) (oh, and also right after the jump, Sinners and few words about Jim Bianco and his music)
Marc Jacobs Baseball Hats For New Era
June 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Marc Jacobs can get his fashion expertise in pretty much anything. And Baseball Hats are one of his latest fash thing. Made in collaboration with New Era, Marc Jacobs is now the designer of the MLB official baseball hats.
The two available style are the MJ logo or a city – one with Paris and one with New York, both being declined in either lighter or darker gray. There’s also a funny short video accompanying the collection and you can watch it right after the jump. I wish I could understand where lies the uniqueness of his baseball caps design? Can anyone point me in the good fashion direction? (via)
Eva Herzigova’s Dolce & Gabbana Mini Miss Sicily Bag
June 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
I think I’m officially on a bags hunt. Something about looking at a gazillion bags I could (modestly put) never own is challenging. Like a mind game I’m playing with myself. A will exercise, if you wish.
Anyhow, let’s cut the psy thing and get to the point: Eva Herzigova looks lovely comme d’habitude and she’s enjoying the Dolce & Gabbana Mini Miss Sicily bag from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection. The bag is adorable, but even more heartmelting are the lil’ stars on its chain. Don’t you just love the “miss” bags wave? Every designer should release a Miss something bag! Just because they sound so cute! Miss Wu, Miss Sicily.. Miss… what else? (via)
Lady Gaga’s Rolling Stone And V Magazine Column
June 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
I wanted to share something with you: Lady Gaga has a fashion magazine column. In V Magazine, to be more exact. Sure, she also graces the cover of Rolling Stone, June 2011, but that was just a pretext to bring you a piece of Gaga thinking!
It seems her column, though a cerebral effort from the pop Queen, is not as amazing as we would’ve expected it to be. Lady Gaga is human after all! And to err is human as well. Lady Gaga is a well fabricated stage phenomenon, a modern day entertainer who takes her career so frightening seriously. Few fragments from her V column were discussed here and Rolling Stone’s Ryan McGinley’s photographed story can also be found here (and you can read the entire column as scanned after the jump, in the gallery, here). As far as I’m concerned, the only style Gaga is really promoting is the restless, always performing entertainer. And that is too consuming for my taste.

Boy Chanel Handbags, New Chanel Bags Collection
June 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
We’re so used to seeing the quilted 2.55 or slight variations of that bag, that we sometimes forget the simple fact: Chanel is a very well adjusting brand. Their young line is versatile and appeals to the more active, fashionable demographic (as demonstrated by their ad campaigns which fronted, among others, Lily Allen). Now, their Boy Chanel bags collection comes sweeping me off of my feet.
With prices ranging from $2,500 to $4,300 is also slightly out of my (reality) range (take out a zero and maybe we can work something out – wink) but so in my dreams! The Boy Chanel got its name from Coco’s love: Boy Capel and it comes in three sizes with clean lines (inspired by a cartridge bag). Aren’t these simply beautiful? (via)
Flowers For Your Table! Hydrangea Cake
June 2nd, 2011 by kpriss
Every now and then, I have to check out the amazingness that flows around the food interwebs! And because I had a little bit too much of what not do wear / do, I thought it would be a great idea to introduce you to one of the most amazing cakes I’ve ever seen! The Hydrangea Cake!
You know I love them, I know pretty much everybody loves Hydrangea. I wish my garden would swim with hydrangeas right now (unfortunately it’s still a work in progress thing and so, maybe next year I’ll delight you with my own, real this time, Hydrangea! Crossing fingers!). Instead, I keep staring at this amazing cake, once again, signed by I Am Baker (you can fid directions for the cake here)! Isn’t it simply stunning?
What To Wear In Florence. Not.
June 1st, 2011 by kpriss
We talked earlier about what Nicole Scherzinger was wearing on a summery summer day in Paris, why not talk about something similar, only happening in Florence, Italy?
Europe is reputed for brave fashion moves and remarkably stylish individuals who can work seasons worth of wardrobe around just one print (the mariniere, anyone?). However, every now and then, accidents occur. Like Snooki’s here (Snooki was brought to the attention of the world by MTV’s Jersey Shore). Sure, you can wear short jeans in Florence. But the rest of the outfit is just so… wrong, it’s the perfect example, just like in Nicole’s Paris case, of what not to wear while vacationing (other other) in a foreign land (or anywhere else for that matter)! Do you plan your vacation outfit ahead? (photos via)
