Miranda Kerr’s Harper’s Bazaar Australia November 2011
October 10th, 2011 by kpriss
Miranda Kerr is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful, one of the sweetest, most successful models in the industry. There she goes, as a flawless cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar Australia November 2011.
The summery attire she’s wearing in that picture is designed by Mary Katranzou and although you may be tempted to believe she’s wearing so little clothing because it’s a summer issue, or maybe, as an avant gout for Victoria’s Secret upcoming fashion show, please note that this is the trend of the season for Spring Summer 2012. Cropped tops have shrunken into what looks like a pin-up-ish bra. Yes, lingerie is still considered outerwear for Summer 2012. And, unfortunately, not many of us look like lovely Miranda here to pull it out right. What to do, what to do? Oh, and please do check out the gallery if you still need to convince yourself that the Bob is… you know.. the hair thing to do! (HB via)
Olsens $39,000 Backpack Sold Out
October 10th, 2011 by kpriss
Oh, wow! Besides the natural outrage that comes naturally upon reading the first part of the title, some explaining is in order: Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen have this fashion enterprise. Their labels seem to be so full of style and fashion, they’re an undisputed hit in the industry.
Part of one of their collections, more specifically The Row, was a backpack, so special, that it was priced at $39,000 (crocodile skin or some other precious material). And because the mind of the riches has its own logic, this backpack that costs as much as a new car sold out. Instantly! Come on! What’s wrong with you, people?
Karolina Kurkova’s Armani Boudoir Ad Campaign By Anna Dello Russo
October 10th, 2011 by kpriss
While I was insouciantly watching the new Armani campaign with Rihanna, I saw there was another recent video added, this time only, Armani Boudoir. The Fall Winter 2011 2012 Giorgio Armani Boudoir campaign starring Karolina Kurkova and made by (drum roll, please!) Anna dello Russo!
It should be pretty amazing, huh? Only it’s confused, messed up and hardly interesting. Like a bad, bad movie trying hard to be arty and pretending too much to be smart. The clothes were nice, the girls were pretty. However, that’s just my perspective, so don’t hold back in sharing yours!
SNL’s Derek Zoolander. Zoolander Is Back! Yaaay
October 10th, 2011 by kpriss
I loved Zoolander in so many ways, fashion couldn’t wrapped around them all not in a million years! Ben Stiller’s Zoolander was brilliant! Glittery brilliant!
And he’s back! Ladies and gents, Ben Stiller … ahem Derek Zoolander is back! With Cold Coffee. Yep, that’s the Zoolander trademark look (also known as Magnum.. Also known as Blue Steel… and few other looks that are like Cold Coffee but in ways that Blue Steel wasn’t. To reprise a bit of Zoolander-ish speech.):
“For too long, Halloween in New York has been a quiet, almost religion-y holiday for old people and babies, but that’s all about to change. This year, I’m hosting a VIP blowout in New York’s hottest neighborhood: SoWeHoBeLoHobo. All proceeds for the event will benefit the Derek Zoolander Foundation for Fat Kids Who Are Fat But Not in a Cute Way Like That Fat Kid on Modern Family.”
Oh, yeah, baby! We missed Zoolander! Can’t wait for the sequel! (sorry I couldn’t find a better quality video! I hope something better will get posted soon so we all can stare and share the joy of having Zoolander back! However, until then, hit the jump to see Stefon and his new friend tadadadaaaaam: Zoolandeeer!)
America’s Next Top Model’s Michael Jackson Theme
October 9th, 2011 by kpriss
You have to see this! The gorgeous girls from this America’s Next Top Model season (you know, the All Stars edition?) were doing a Michael Jackson theme. And they were all amazing! The makeup people, the costume people, everyone involved – just wow!
I look at them and I can’t think of anything else other than how much I would’ve wanted to have those clothes back in my young days! Both me and my Adored Husband, we were such big fans of MJ! So back tot the Michael Jackson photo shoot tribute: this episode features LaToya Jackson as a guest judge. (I know, but she’s a Jackson after all!) And here are my favorite girls doing their best Michael Jackson impression! How do you like them? Will you be watching the episode?
Oh, and you will notice in the video after the jump (and in the gallery) that there’s also a carousel involved! Fashion pushes the carousel as the highest metaphor? Chanel’s carousel, Marc Jacobs’ carousel, now ANTM’s carousel. What’s next?
Meet Kristin Davis’ Baby Girl, Gemma Rose!
October 9th, 2011 by kpriss
I know you heard me before, and, although you weren’t sure how to take it, it proved to be a certified trend: the bob is definitely having a big hair moment!
Now here’s a second almost certified trend: having babies over the weekend! Don’t laugh, remember when both Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson gave birth in the same weekend? You better mark those calendars, it’s raining babies! Kristin Davis just presented her daughter to the world! Gemma Rose Davis is Kristin Davis’ adopted baby girl, as she said, a “wish come true […] I feel so blessed.”. Congrats to the new mother!
For $23,000 A Month, You Can Sleep In Marc Jacobs Bed!
October 9th, 2011 by kpriss
Got your attention, huh? No, it’s not a joke, but it may not be what you might expect either! (wink) The simple truth is that while he had work done in his Superior Ink building apartment, Marc Jacobs was living in this rented 2,062 square foot three bedroom, three bathrooms rented condo on Seventh Avenue.
He was paying (rumoredly) $20,000 a month to the apartment’s landlord Scott Gomez (former NY Ranger) who bought the place four years ago for $3,2 million. In the same apartment, Stephen Levinson (notably known for being one of the producers of Boardwalk Empire and Entourage) used to live, just before Marc Jacobs. Not bad, huh? So, what do you think? Would you pay $23,000/month just to lay on the same couch Marc Jacobs used to?

Best Night Out Outfit. This Season.
October 7th, 2011 by kpriss
Okay, you may hear me say that from time to time. Not that there’s anything wrong with my jeans, au contraire, I looove my new jeans, it’s just that sometimes, it’s nice to play glam for a night out in the city.
Here’s what I found and I’d love to have in my own wardrobe, to hold and to wear right from the pages of Vogue! Vogue Espana. Alla Kostromichova photographed by Jason Kibbler, styled by Brian Molloy, with hair done by James Pecis and makeup by Yadim for Tim Howard. With a Balmain black simple jacket (which comes with a Navajo belt – now wrapped around Alla’s neck) and a mini precious skirt by Giorgio Armani, this outfit is sheer perfection! The fierce hairdo matches the look, giving it the final masterpiece touch! I just wish I knew what shoes they proposed for this look. Platforms? Boots? Stilettos? (sigh) this is so beautiful!
