Angelina Jolie Is Starving Herself. Angelina Jolie Losing It. Angelina This, Angelina That.
November 22nd, 2011 by kpriss
Anything Angelina Jolie goes to increase tabloids sales. Whenever there’s a low in sales, bam! There pops Angelina Jolie with either a divorce (she surely got married somewhere in-between a glass of wine and a protein shake), a run into Jennifer Aniston, a mad diet race or God knows what else!
And it’s not as if we were completely blind and didn’t notice that Angelina has even put on some weight. But hey, what do we know? Surely Angelina is hiding in her basement working out madly, deeply, to exhaustion and then rounds the kitchen for three almonds. I mean.. that sounds just about understandable and humanly possible, doesn’t it? Of course she can’t be so thin on her own, she has to do something drastic and be someone inhuman. If you ask me, it’s the tabloids that have a sickening appetite for destruction. Not Angelina!

Babies And Dogs Take Fashion Magazine December Covers. Vogue Spain Vs. Tatler Russia
November 22nd, 2011 by kpriss
As you well know me by now, I’m forever enchanted when it comes to wee babies. That’s the mother speaking in me. However, when it comes to highlighting babies for fashion purposes, you won’t see me jumping up and down with excitement!
When he’ll grow up, a wee one will get the chance to say he / she was on the cover of Vogue. (this reminds me of Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs – anyone experiencing the same déjà vu, in the very spirit of the baby Brent, the famous Sardines Baby). Well, at least part of him / her was distinctively visible on a Vogue cover! Ahem. Let’s fash-focus now: Dree Hemingway is holding a clothesless baby in her arms on the cover of Vogue Spain December 2011. How …. Fashionable is that? (oh, and allow me to introduce the contender cover: Monica Bellucci with a Dalmatian puppy in her arms on the cover of Tatler Russia December 2011).
Andrej Pejic Is One Of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women. Wait, What?
November 22nd, 2011 by kpriss
I think we’re all familiar with Andrej Pejic by now. Who he is and what he does. I admit I haven’t seen him on the Spring Summer 2012 catwalk as much as he was present in the Fall Winter 2011 – 2012 most wanted models pack, so that may as well mean that he was indeed a one season flavor and that’s about where it ends.
Or not? The notorious Men magazine FHM has placed Andrej Pejic in their 100 Sexiest Women list! It’s also true that FHM (men) readers were the one who took the vote, but someone must have placed him on the list, as an option. If there’s any consolation – he only made it at the 98th position. (of course that FHM issued an apology, but what’s done is done and Andrej is, by men standards, one of the world’s most sexiest woman. Macho much? –grin-)

Which Color For New Year’s And Why. Victoria’s Secret Angels Resolutions
November 22nd, 2011 by kpriss
You know about that particular tradition which ties the color of your underwear to the way you want the next year to be. Ummm.. Or something like that. Anyway, it’s a superstition, who has time to listen to these mumbo jumbo nonsense?
Wait, but what if it’s not just mumbo jumbo thing? What if it’s the real deal and the color of your very lingerie dictates next year’s karma? Victoria’s Secret Angels sure seem to follow that belief! Watch the Angels talking about their New Year’s Resolutions and the color of their underwear on that special night! (do you believe there’s any truth in that saying? Or it’s just for marketing purposes in this case?)
Kristen Wiig Does GQ Magazine
November 22nd, 2011 by kpriss
There’s this super issue from GQ magazine, the Men of the Year 2011 issue. Only there isn’t only one man of the year, you see, there’s more! There’s a King, there are show men, there’s a Fanatic, a Bro, an Ace, an Icon and so forth! How would you feel if I told you that under “Man of the year BRO” lies the lovely, brilliant Kristen Wiig? Weird much?
At least her picture is uninviting enough to keep your focus on the article, which actually revolved around Jon Hamm (yes, yes, that Mad Men Hamm!), Kristen’s FBuddy from Bridesmaids. Side note – if you haven’t seen Bridesmaids yet, please correct that asap! You. Have. To. Watch. Bridesmaids! End of side note.
And Hamm talks about.. well, what else but the intimate scenes between him and Kristen from the above mentioned movie! Really, Jon? Really, GQ? Is that all there is to say about Kristen Wiig? Seriously? (side note two – you really should’ve slipped a mention about Chris O’Dowd! He was great! Although if he makes it big, we’ll miss him in the IT Crowd! End of side note two)

Scarlett Johansson’s Interview December 2011
November 21st, 2011 by kpriss
Although I realize that not everyone is going to like this, Scarlett Johansson’s Interview magazine cover for the December 2011 issue charmed me. I’m so fed up with people (like Scarlett, for instance) reediting Marilyn Monroe, that I’m perfectly willing to give credit to original poses and interpretations, even mediocre ones like the present one.
Scarlett is undoubtedly a lovely, beautiful young actress. However, her features shine brighter in a lighter atmosphere in my opinion, the dark shady mood Interview got her posing in for their December 2011 cover doing hardly any justice to Scarlett’s classical beauty. Like I said, though, at least she’s not pouting and MM-ing, right?

Models On Film. Naq Lee’s Facing Models
November 21st, 2011 by kpriss
So many beautiful women, such a delicate approach! I loved Naq Lee’s short movie! Although I can’t say there’s something really particular and original about it, I loved the human approach. Too often, models are looked at as if they were clothes hangers and nothing more.
This is, if needed, proof that they are, above all, human beings. Delightfully beautiful, young and feeling-ful human beings! Please join me in Facing a lot of gorgeous models. A lot! (some of them I didn’t even knew they were so charming and warm! Not to mention the joy filling my heart since almost every one of them is smiling. Truly, authentically smiling for the camera!)

Fashion Up Your Home With Jason Wu’s Home Collection For Brizo
November 21st, 2011 by kpriss
I know what you must be thinking – hello Miss Wu pillows and various owl shaped maison objects! You may be surprised to find out it’s really not that! It’s something for the bathroom and not at all shaped like the lovely Wu owl! It’s faucets, baby! Faucets from Jason Wu!
What you may not know, however, is that Brizo has sponsored Jason Wu since 2006. So It’s a natural step for the designer, even if it’s not an obvious one for us. Designing a new faucet with Jason Wu’s sartorial sensibility must have been a very interesting experience for Brizo as well and, if all goes well (read if the $800 lavatory faucet or the $125 wastebasket sell), I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Jason Wu around the house. Through Brizo, biensur! (just out of curiosity – would you spend $250 on a wall mounted bathroom shelf, $105 on a soap pump and $105 on a soap dish?) (this was possible with a little help from 1, 2, 3)
