Congrats To Victoria Beckham For Her British Fashion Award!
November 29th, 2011 by kpriss
Although she started out as the wife of…, slowly but steadily, Victoria Beckham built her name, her empire, her status. And now she’s been awarded for her efforts during the British Fashion Awards ceremony held Monday, November 27 2011 in London.
Victoria Beckham received the Designer Brand of the Year Award from the hands of Marc Jacobs and she was, reportedly, so emotional, she had tears in her eyes! Congrats, Victoria, keep strong and design more beautiful clothes! (oh, and just because I had to convince myself that Posh is human, I looked for her acceptance speech video – yep, yes she is! Victoria is wonderfully emotional and adorably human!)

Wardrobe Basics. Minimal Style, Best Style!
November 28th, 2011 by kpriss
Since I like to keep my reading diverse and keep an eye out for everything and anything happening around, I found this really interesting piece about not just a closet, but a wardrobe! A Minimal Wardrobe!
I hope you’ll watch the video as it’s really short and very interesting and I also hope you’ll share your thoughts and feelings about the concept. Béa Johnson came to me by means of “zero – waste” living style than through her art. Though she’s an accomplished and acclaimed artist, I want to highlight another side of Béa. At least today: her zero – waste lifestyle. And more specifically, her zero – waste closet. What does that mean exactly? It means a basic wardrobe. Minimal style at its core.
Louis Vuitton Goods Were Stolen
November 28th, 2011 by kpriss
Something’s fishy in the fashion world! Following the sad and mysterious disappearance of Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2012 collection (or at least parts of it), more sadness ensues as we’re informed that Louis Vuitton goods were stolen in Paris.
While it’s still unclear why, how, and most importantly who is responsible for this, appx $400,000 worth of Louis Vuitton goods were stolen by a gang of five masked thieves at the Paris Roissy – Charles de Gaulle airport.
Luckily no one got hurt (or at least that’s what we’re told)…
Just in case this doesn’t add up – Marc Jacobs is the creative director for Louis Vuitton… Marc Jacobs was stolen, now Louis Vuitton.. What’s next? (photo via; photochopping courtesy Stylefrizz)
Nicki Minaj Has A New Pink Bentley. Just Like Paris Hilton.
November 28th, 2011 by kpriss
When it comes to girl cars, you just can’t go above and beyond a pink car. And the spoiled girls know that! Paris Hilton was the first I knew driving around in a pink Bentley. Now Nicki Minaj seems to join the pink parade with her pink Bentley!
I actually see nothing wrong in having a pink car. It’s just the real – size, real – motor parts that really bugs me (if the pink car in question was the size of a keyholder, I wouldn’t mind at all!). Oh, and also disappointed in Nicki Minaj’s choice of color – her Bentley should really sport more colors, more daring prints than just a bland pink. Which has been done before. Yo, Nicki? Have you let Paris know you were taking her car for a ride?
Mariacarla Boscono Does YSL By David Sims
November 28th, 2011 by kpriss
The news got out about the upcoming Ad campaign from Yves Saint Laurent. They changed the girl and the photographer! Mariacarla Boscono is their current favorite and the campaign apparently wrapped up the photography part.
David Sims was behind the lenses for YSL’s new season. He replaces the famous couple Inez and Vinoodh.
As rumors were flying around about Pilati’s YSL reign coming to an end, this doesn’t help putting them to rest. Maybe he’s trying a different approach? A new aesthetic?
(Mariacarla is the new It girl? She’s rumored to star in three ad campaigns, including the YSL one – Missoni and Givenchy too)

Angelina Jolie In 60 Minutes
November 28th, 2011 by kpriss
You know, I woke up this morning and I couldn’t wait to read the news, find out about what the world has been up to during this special time of the year! And while browsing here and scrolling there, I realized Angelina Jolie just had her 60 minutes on CBS. And everything stopped there!
Angelina Jolie talking about herself for 60 minutes is not something to take lightly or forget about it altogether. I actually started to watch the fragment below and found myself cut away from everything. Forgetting about the news, about what happens right now. I just sunk in that interview. I loved it! Take a look and experience it yourself!

H & M Winter 2011 Lookbook
November 27th, 2011 by kpriss
Do you ever get the feeling that a certain ad campaign was especially made for you? Better yet – that you were the one in the campaign? And yes, I realize how that sounds!
Well, either way, before you raise your eyebrows too high, here’s what I wanted to say: H & M’s Winter 2011 campaign with Ieva Laguna, Julia Stegner and Hilary Rhoda is strangely familiar. When I saw the picture below, I really, genuinely though it was me (innocently blushing). The style, the silhouette, I promise you guys, it has me written allover! Other than that, I think I have this serious crush on all H & M’s sweaters this winter. Now tell me, have you ever experienced the above mentioned sensation? If yes, where, when, how?
Music From Fashion Shows: Bottega Veneta’s Intreccio One With Michel Gaubert
November 27th, 2011 by kpriss
Don’t you just love a good fashion show soundtrack? I sometimes get the feeling the music playing on the catwalk drives the fashion show more than the actual clothes! (or the models)
Hence, I can’t do otherwise but love Bottega Veneta’s musical initiative with French DJ Michel Gaubert. A truly fashionable playlist, picked from the Bottega Veneta’s catwalk music that comes with photographs by Robert Longo from Bottega Veneta’s Fall Winter 2010 2011 ad campaign (the disk itself shows the dark woven pattern we’re used to seeing in Bottega Veneta’s creations). After the jump, you can get a taste of the actual mix (which is available in Bottega’s stores across the world). Don’t you just love it when one of your favorite songs comes with high couture recommendations? (yep, I’m talking about Lindstrom’s Lovesik)
