Dare To Wear The Stiletto Earrings?
December 14th, 2011 by kpriss
As we all came to treasure at least one pair of shoes throughout our fashionable life, would it be safe to assume that this lovely pair of Stiletto Earrings would find their way into our jewelry drawer?
It may not be a red soled one, or an architectural Kirkwood, but it’s surely one of the cutest stilettos I’ve ever seen! And I’m sure this really sends a message, more than any Louboutins will ever do (unless Mr Louboutin plans on releasing a pair of red soled platforms earrings – wink). In a word – I love these wee sparkling sandals! I’d definitely like to wear them! And I’d even wear a corset ring to match! (check it out after the jump! These beauties are the handy work of Dream Dancer Design – you can see more here)
Would You Pay $200,000 For A Hermes Birkin Bag?
December 13th, 2011 by kpriss
Because I sure as heck wouldn’t! I know it’s Christmas and all, but come on? $203,150 for a bag?
At a recent auction that took place in Dallas, Texas, a particular Hermes Birkin bag made from red alligator skin and equipped with precious hardware (18k white gold paved with diamonds) was sold for no less than six figures (I refuse to write that price again, it’s scandalous!). Someone must have been on top of Santa’s “Good” list! (wink)
Nicki Minaj’s OPI Nail Lacquer Collection Launching Next Month
December 13th, 2011 by kpriss
I told you I’ve got my beauty talk mood going! So have you heard that Nicki Minaj has a nail polish collection coming up? OPI and Nicki Minaj have teamed up for a special nail lacquer collection ready to launch this very January.
Seven colors, from neon blue and electric yellow to glittery gray and metallic soft lavender are ready to find their ways into your polish goodies case. As a sworn French manicure girl, I think I’ll keep my distance, but I’m sure you’ll find something appealing in this collection – if this is the case, what’s your favorite pick? And just out of curiosity – would you buy a certain nail polish color just because it’s part of the Nicki Minaj OPI collection or simply because you like it so much, you can’t do without anymore?

Wrapping Gifts. The New Fashion!
December 13th, 2011 by kpriss
How do you plan to wrap your gifts this year? I’m usually a very traditional girl for Christmas and I like my things the classic way – red with a pinch of silver, gold and green. However, the tendencies, as we all know, keep pointing towards handmade and original, especially when dealing with such a family Holiday as Christmas is.
So if I was to leave my traditional gift wrapping path and take on another, more crafty, I’d go for these colorful knots! I mean.. seriously, how could anyone resist to this overload of warmth and joy?

Kate Moss Models For Her Fred Jewelry Collection
December 12th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember we talked about Kate Moss taking on a job (well, kind of) as a jewelry designer chez Fred? A little detail about her collection might trigger that memory – Kate’s Fred Jewelry Collection is inspired by her very own tattoos! (anything?)
Anyway, here’s a fist look at the ad campaign for the above mentioned collection. More pictorials I see, more I understand why Kate Moss is such a highly esteemed model. Even this Fred campaign is a good example to illustrate how Kate Moss is wearing the clothes / jewelry and not the other way around. She has a status of her own, something we’ll only see happening with one of the Supers and less with today’s models. Why is that, anyway? Why do they have to go over the top with the styling and everything when really, less is more? (oh, and just one word about Kate’s Fred collection – I love it!)
Check Out The Unexpected B Brian Atwood Shoes Campaign
December 12th, 2011 by kpriss
Shoes are so fashionable and so coveted, there’s no point in promoting them just as any other apparel. Shoes get you somewhere. Literally. No outfit is ever dull or average if you have the right shoes to match it.
I’m trying hard not to develop an obsession for shoes. (yeah, right, like that’ll be ever possible! How can one refrain from wanting all these gorgeous heels?) Especially since they come with such an appealing presentation like these B Brian Atwood! I wonder if this ad was meant for men or women… It’s getting harder to tell these days!
Baptiste Giabiconi Shirtless And Glamoholic
December 12th, 2011 by kpriss
Did you know that Baptiste Giabiconi has a new album coming out? Yep, yes! That Baptiste Giabiconi didn’t give up music – he’s releasing Oxygen. Just because he thinks he can sing. Dance. And do other things other people are ridiculously good at it. But not him.
I’m guessing the pictures were taken by his good “uncle” Karl as we all know Karl Lagerfeld is pretty hands on and wouldn’t let anyone else handle his toyboy. I don’t know how you feel about it, but I just can’t take this guy seriously! He wouldn’t be anything if it wasn’t for der Kaiser’s obsession for him. And that alone makes him shady! So… how do you feel about Baptiste? (there’s one more eyecandy after the jump and more here)
Kate Lanphear, Supreme Street Fashion Icon Disses On Street Fashion Photography
December 12th, 2011 by kpriss
The fashinternet is an odd place where you can rise to fame from complete and utter anonymity if you have the right wardrobe. Personal style stars were quickly followed by a thick fog of street fashion stars.
Fashion professionals, industry insiders, brilliant Jane Does and stylish Joe Does always dressed like the sidewalk was their catwalk. The Testinos and the Leibovitz of street fashion photography hunt their pray and catch every detail, every movement of their subjects in pictures they’re releasing onto the fashinternet waves to the delight of the avid followers. One of those perfectly stylish, absolutely fashionable individual who gets photographed season after season is Kate Lanphear who’s position at Elle (styling director, btw) is less known than her white short mane.
While praising the way the clothes are worn, Kate Lanphear doesn’t really like to ride the street fashion photography fame wave (we’ll trust that mission to AdR who puts on an entire circus for the street fashion photographers). Her street fashion experience isn’t her favorite part of the day, most definitely (there’s a very interesting interview with Kate Lanphear here)
“The street-style thing is hard for me to talk about, because it makes me pretty wildly embarrassed. I get really, really shy. It’s like hearing your own voice on an answering machine.”
