Glamazons. Atelier Versace Spring 2012 Couture Collection. That’s the main thing you’ll have to remember about Donatella’s latest Haute Couture fashion show.
It’s a glamorous spin on Thierry Mugler’s edgy corseted looks, all in keeping true to Spring’s colors. It’s hard to imagine these looks won’t make it to the Red Carpet as they look celebrity ready, like they were imagined with a certain celebrity in mind. (take for instance the first model in the picture following the jump – I can’t stop seeing Uma Thurman in that! can you celeb – match the rest? The entire collection can be seen here)

We’re officially in the Dragon Year, my lovelies! January 23 marks the date of the Chinese New Year! The day, they say, winter is over! It’s going to be an interesting year, this Dragon Year as in the Chinese mythology, the Dragon is the symbol of royalty, bringer of wealth, courage, power. Many wannabe parents push to have a baby in the year of the Dragon (before February 9, 2013), so I think I understand better the new celebrity baby boom trend! (I still haven’t figure out the separations, though!)

Nail Polish Strips? How about that? Would you (if you haven’t already, that is) be willing to try this? Like regular tape only in polish – would that be a stress reducer, or what? No dry time, no fuss, isn’t that your nails dream lacquer?
I’m more conservative (you may say I’m not embracing change, but hear me out): I love my girly time – out when I’m doing my nails. Waiting for them to dry out is like a time – out extension. And where would I be without a crooked French tip? I live to see those white zig-zags on my nails! (every time I promise myself I’d use tape and still forget all about it – free hand French tips get really messy sometimes!) Back to why I started this (but you know me by now and you know anything nails keeps me talking and talking… and talking some more): Avril Lavigne worked out a deal with Sally Hansen to issue nail polish strips in her own design!

How about that, huh? $400,000 for a T-shirt? I’m sure it’s simply wonderful for some people, to mark the debut of a new week with a new, sparkling acquisition! However, paying 400,000 for a cotton tee? And you want to know how those who produced it explained the entire price charade? “Born Rich” used 100% organic cotton and the process of making this tee was entirely renewable energy fueled. Oh, and there are 9 carats worth of diamonds (16 stones sewn in). Just another bling thing. The Organic kind! Ha!

Last Friday that wonderful, amazing, unearthly beautiful thing happened: Date Night! We went out! Just me and My Adored Husband! Aaaaah !(sigh) it was great!
Yeah, so before I sound (too) weird, let me tell you how it actually went down: we had to run some errands, sign this and that and then we had lunch and… well, went to see a movie (we’ll get back to that later) and then scooped for some clothes for our eldest boy (who’s stick thin and growing like out of water) and I (blushing) finally got to try some bras I was eyeing for a while and now were on sale. Which brings us to the current topic: do you know how to pick a bra? I don’t think I know anymore… (check out the rest of the story right after the jump!)

So what do you think about Victoria Beckham’s Numero Tokyo March 2012 cover? I’ll tell you right from the start that I like it! I like it even more since I’m still in shock after Heidi and Seal’s breakup announcement. I’m a simple girl and I believe that “happily ever after” is real!
Anyway, there’s no word on the photographer yet and no other picture has surfaced so far. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the inside to be even better than the cover. (which, if I want to put my fashionista eyeglasses on, looks really cheesy and kitsch. But that doesn’t hurt every now and then, does it? Cheesy and kitsch? especially with a high profile celebrity)

From a TriBeCa building! That’s my favorite fashcat right now and there’s nothing you can do to stop me from loving it! Ha! The adorable mascot of the equally adorable Jason Wu collection for Target, also known as Milu the Cat, is now billboard – born and you can see it in NY’s TriBeCa neighborhood. Long story short: you’ll be allover Target starting February 5, looking for Milu…ahem Jason Wu’s Target collection! Won’t you? Meow!
