Alice Dellal Representing Chanel’s Boy Chanel Bags
January 31st, 2012 by kpriss
I was so surprised by Karl Lagerfeld’s choice of model, that I think I forgot to mention it altogether! So Alice Dellal is a Chanel representative now, having signed with the luxury fashion house for the Boy Chanel Handbags Ad Campaign.
In her shoes, before her, equally surprising young ladies have tried to convince the young audience that Chanel’s appeal is not just timeless, is also modern. Trendy. (Lily Allen, Blake Lively, Alice Dellal. Der Kaiser is really unpredictable when it comes to choosing his leading ladies. Now let’s cross fingers and hope it won’t be Rooney Mara, his next marketing sweetheart! After all, if H&M saw a powerful, independent woman in her GWTDT character, Lisbeth, why wouldn’t Lagerfeld?) How about some class, Karl? We’d love to see that from Chanel! Wouldn’t we?
Valentine’s Day Gifts: Blancpain Saint Valentin Chronograph
January 31st, 2012 by kpriss
If you think that declaring your love and loving with all your heart just isn’t enough to celebrate Valentine’s Day anymore, something otherworldly special may come in handy when sharing the passion with your significant other. On Valentine’s day!
Blancpain’s Saint – Valentin Chronograph is a very limited edition watch especially created for the loving occasion. 14 such fine pieces were made, each in white alligator leather straps, white case with 2,95 encrusted diamonds, heart shaped ruby, three hearts subdials on the mother of pearl dial and one red heard shaped seconds hand (hand painted with a feather). If that won’t secure a loving Valentine’s Day, then your pure and undivided love will certainly not!

Luxury Perfumes Giants Fixing Prices
January 31st, 2012 by kpriss
…since we talked about perfumes just before this SAG madness – did you know that a French court has fined 40 Million Euros respectable perfume giants who were having secret agreements to keep their prices high? LVMH, Chanel, Clarins, Christian Dior, Estee Lauder, JP Gaultier and many more (including retailers like Sephora and Marionnaud) had arrangements with distributors to only sell at the prices imposed by the brands. It’s a labels’ world! (photo courtesy)
Jada Smith And Will Smith Together Again?
January 31st, 2012 by kpriss
Now that’s good news! It would appear that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are still an item! They’ve been photographed together attending a basketball game over the weekend and looking pretty family-ish. After seeing Heidi Klum with her wedding ring on and reading about Seal saying that they’re not technically separated, my (marriage) hopes are up again!
The Red And The Blue Dresses 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet
January 31st, 2012 by kpriss
Wrapping up the 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet. So it was definitely a white Red Carpet. With safe black choices here and there. And there were blue dresses and there were red dresses (anyone wearing stars? I mean… blue, red, white? Stars and stripes?)
If I picked up a favorite (more, even) from the white dresses wearers, even from the black dresses, I can’t really say the same about the red and blue dresses! They were either unflattering, ill-fitting, bland, or too much. I’ll try, though! Squeezing in two of the dresses I thought were really nice and the ladies who worn them fairly: Jennifer Carpenter’s red Emilio Pucci dress – refreshingly short, simple, classic cut, lovely fabric work and.. f – lawless Jennifer Carpenter! Representing in the blue corner: Meryl Streep! She’s just amazing! She has this comfy, flattering personal style and she’s sticking to it! Oh, and she’s wearing Vivienne Westwood! The Black Dresses From 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet
January 30th, 2012 by kpriss
Leading the black dresses pack was, undoubtedly, Emma Stone. It’s a subjective opinion, biensur, my fashperspective being completely blindsided by Emma herself – I really like her and especially by the fact that she’s wearing Alexander McQueen. However, I can’t deny that Angelina Jolie comes in a dangerously close second position. But then again, she’s always among my favorites on any Red Carpet. And that’s surely not only because of her outfits.
However, since the black dresses were so well represented on the 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet, I had to pick a best from the rest, aside from my already mentioned weaknesses. And here I go, again picking two dresses: Stacy Keibler’s black lace Marchesa and Jayma Mays black sequined Reem Acra. The White Dresses From 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet
January 30th, 2012 by kpriss
Although you may hear differently, the true dominant color on the 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet was white. White – ish, neutral. As the 2012 edition of the Golden Globes showed us already, the Red Carpet tendency is towards neutral and white. And last night’s ceremony was no exception to the trends.
If I’d had to pick a favorite, I’d definitely go for Viola Davis in Marchesa. And Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture. Both of them took my breath away. There was even an awkward sartorial moment with Julianna Margulies and Katrina Bowden. The dresses they were wearing were heartbreakingly similar. Only they were different. In details and label (Julianna was wearing Calvin Klein while Katrina Bowden was wearing Amsale. Hit the jump to see both dresses side by side and pick the original; check out the gallery here)

Michelle Williams In Valentino Red Dress For 2012 SAG Awards
January 30th, 2012 by kpriss
Michelle Williams showed up for the 2012 SAG Awards wearing a very red Valentino dress. While it looks to have been especially tweaked for Michelle, the dress completely fails to impress me. Either my dress opinions are too conservative, or this cut isn’t flattering on Michelle – you tell me!
