New Must Have Nail Polish: Industrial Oil Slick From Ciate
March 22nd, 2012 by kpriss
I’m a self confessed nail maniac. More on the French Manicure side, but still, you won’t catch me without nail polish! As such, I love any nail polish news.
Sephora is bringing Ciaté in stores, this April. The product of a collaboration between the brand and UK nail artist Charlotte Knight, the Oil Slick $15 nail polish is a greenish shade of grease.
Match your wet – like greasy hair and your nails for a total industrial look this summer!
Laetitia Casta Is Back, Covering Vogue Spain April 2012
March 22nd, 2012 by kpriss
I love Laetitia Casta! She’s one of those beautiful models with a normal looking body and not a stick, like the vast majority of today’s models.
Vogue Spain April 2012 is trying hard to look summery with this cover but, in my books, only hits as high as an Elle magazine standard, with all those titles surrounding beautiful Laetitia as photographed by Miguel Reveriego, styled by Havana Laffite!
McQueen Film For Selfridges The Film Project Plus Michael Pitt Film With Jamie Bochert
March 22nd, 2012 by kpriss
The majestic couture of Alexander McQueen’s designs makes the object of a new short film. The Film Project is a Selfridges initiative, started by the notorious British department store to mark the opening of their Women’s Designer Galleries which, if you hurry, is open for another 3 days, until March 25th at the Old Selfridges Hotel.
For the special occasion, a handful of notorious designers have been highlighted in a couple of short artsy videos, among which, the Alexander McQueen one stands tall and proud, telling the seams story. Indeed, of the few films I watched on Selfridges’s website, Dustin Lynn’s three minutes Obscure Desires film about Alexander McQueen is by far the most couture – appropriate.
A special mention for Michael Pitt’s short film with girlfriend Jamie Bochert for Ann Demeulemeester – dreamy – reminded me of one of Madonna’s videos. Hit the jump to see for yourself! (thank you, Ellington, for suggesting this beautiful story!)

Will Helena Rubinstein Take Down Demi Moore’s Over Photoshopped Ads?
March 22nd, 2012 by kpriss
…probably not. At least it’s creating a buzz which could be profitable for business. As I’m sure it was very profitable for Demi Moore. I’m sure you’ve all seen it by now, but I also wanted to express my regret that Photoshop is still happening! Helena Rubinstein’s marketing team must be really proud of their work on Demi! They smoothened and straightened her wrinkles, completely transforming her! Demi Photoshop – Moore!

Carine Roitfeld & Karl Lagerfeld Book: The Little Black Jacket
March 21st, 2012 by kpriss
For Carine Roitfeld, a book and a fashion magazine story are pretty much the same thing. And she corrupted Karl Lagerfeld with her way of thinking and doing things as their book project, “The Little Black Jacket” will see the light of bookstores this fall.
The Little Black Jacket seems to be the story of… well, the story of a black jacket! With images of various famous people wearing a Chanel black jacket. In other words, people, it’s advertising! Pure, simple advertising! I can’t wait to see Carine doing a book with, say, Converse, about “The little red shoes”. I’m sure it’ll be a sellout! (however, I don’t know if it’ll be as interesting as the Chanel project where she got to play Coco herself!)

Reese Witherspoon Is Pregnant With Third Child!
March 21st, 2012 by kpriss
Wow! Three babies in a week time (Charlize, Adriana and now Reese)? And the week in question is still young, mind you! Who knows what may come in the next couple of days? So congrats to Reese Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, who are reportedly expecting their first child together (Reese’s third, after daughter Ava – 12 and son Deacon – 8 with ex husband Ryan Phillipe)! Blessings to the expecting momma and to the happy family!
