World’s Most Wonderful Library!
September 30th, 2012 by kpriss
And that’s not an understatement! Take a look below and imagine how it would feel to read a book in open air, on the great – smelling grass! An outdoor library in Belgium, more specifically in the city of Ghent in St Peter’s Abbey vineyard. The work was commissioned to and designed by Massimo Bartolini and is only awaiting for avid readers! Cool, huh? {designmom}
Raf Simons First Dior Collection: Christian Dior Spring Summer 2013
September 28th, 2012 by kpriss
It’s a spooky serious collection. Raf Simons’ first catwalk as the new Dior creative, Christian Dior Spring Summer 2013 was really sober and suited – up. Do they even know it’s for summer? I don’t think that pops of pink and occasional yellow or cobalt blue will do to save the season’s spirit!
Some decided – like Gareth Pugh – to go with soft layers. Others – like Raf here – wanted to keep it all work and less play. I think. What do you make of his collection? (oh, and those not – smiling policy on catwalk? Could they change that instead of that size zero thing? Really, if they’d smile, I wouldn’t have to imagine they’re starving and that’s why they’re gloomy and frowning all the time!) (you can see more pictures here)
Caro Emerald Back It Up And Stuck
September 28th, 2012 by kpriss
Do you know Caro Emerald? My dahlings? You really should! She’s so talented, so pretty and soooo joyful, I can’t stop listening to her music! And I hope she won’t stop making music either!
I discovered her last year, I don’t ever remember how but what I do remember is that I made a serious obsession with her songs. I just kept on listening. Didn’t even have the time to buy her album, it went on for days: I tuned in to her website and just played. And played. And then some more! Just try it for yourself, it’s all it takes! (oh, and for those of you who aren’t familiarized with the wonder that is Caro Emerald: it’s highly addictive. At such point, there’s one more video after the jump!)

Don’t you love a good do-it-yourself project every now and then? Creativity comes cheap and never runs out! That alone doubles the fun of doing an almost exact copy of a very pretty Kate Spade Clutch using items you may already have in your closet. Take a look below at the how-to steps and say it’s not the easiest DIY project you’ve seen in a long time! {madeinpretoria}
5 Summer Fashion Staples From Rick Owens Spring 2013
September 28th, 2012 by kpriss
There’s something new in every designer’s perspective of the Spring Summer 2013 season. When I clicked on Rick Owens’ collection name, I was really expecting something dark and Gothic. You know, something Rick Owens would do!
I entered an ethereally sacred experience instead, with soft layers and metallic shades of pale like drew out of a ‘shrooms pie dream! Let’s see what we need for next summer from Rick Owens’ catwalk:
{1} Soft Layers: because, in spite of everything, we’re all having a secret love affair with onions. (don’t stop here, there’s more after the jump!)

Fruit Market. In Japan
September 28th, 2012 by kpriss
Simply wanted to share the amazingness that is a fruit market in Japan. Because not everyone can go there (although I really wish I could. Actually: did they invent the teleportation already?) all we have now is a couple of images of the marketplace from Kochi, Japan as created by Kengo Kuma and Associates. Pretty fancy for a fruit store, huh? {fubiz}
Anthony Vaccarello’s Daring Dresses Come Back For Spring Summer 2013. Anja Too.
September 27th, 2012 by kpriss
If I’d ask you to name at least one thing that comes to your mind when you read : Vaccarello, chances are you’ll say cut – out dress. Or even Anja Rubik. Or maybe Anne V. How about Gwyneth Paltrow? Because that’s what Anthony Vaccarello did with his cutouts collection: he took it to the viral stage.
He’s back at it for the new Spring Summer 2013 collection with both daring cutouts and Anja Rubik. Because the media loved famous people wearing Vaccarello and Vaccarello is doing an outstanding job of (un)dressing famous people. (would you / could you ever wear one of these? What would be the occasion?)
