What is Taylor Momsen up to these days? A collection of handbags for Samantha Thavasa. Because everybody is big in Japan! (remember even Beyonce and JLo did a collection for Samantha Thavasa?) anyway, at the launch of her line, Taylor Momsen looked as happy and as commercially convincing as you see her in the pictures below. Black and white has been so big on the runway this season! Another perfect example happened on the Gianfranco Ferre Spring Summer 2013 catwalk. Lovely shapes and an interesting hairdo accompanied a praised collection which is hoped to get the maison out of financial trouble.

Although the reports aren’t that optimistic, given the background fights (this time not in the front row but among the big guys upstairs who fight for power). But at least the trends look good in Ferre. So hereby my 5 items I want in my closet for spring summer 2013, with a Ferre label on!

I was looking at pictures from various events going around the Emmy Awards night (related or not to the said event) and I found some pictures of Natalie Portman who was attending a special Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner for L.A. Dance Project. And who was proudly wearing a radically new haircolor: Natalie Portman has blonde hair now! And they say, it’s for a movie role. But… couldn’t she have worn a wig, like she did in Closer? {USmagazine}

While browsing through the final collections from Milan’s ultra feminine Fashion Week, I realized I’m really dreaming about certain items and pieces from the said collections (and more). And why wouldn’t I? I’m just like you: with a heavy sweet fashion tooth!

So how about we do a 5 – you – won’t – spend – next – summer – without kind of thing? Sure, by the time the Fashion Week season is over, we might count over 500 – you – won’t –s but that what makes fashion so fun. And so heartbreaking! Are you with me? So many times we’ve talked about Disney Princesses and their modern interpretations. How about Disney Princes? Here’s a little example, with Prince Charming on the cover of GQ. An imaginary cover, of course. With imaginary cover titles and stories. Or Alladin on the cover of Time Magazine! Why not? After all, we all dreamed of being one of the Disney Princesses, growing up. My dahlings! As you know, Sunday was a special day for us too. Not only the 2012 Emmy Awards took place but we were also invited to a wonderful wedding party. As I anticipated, I skipped this Red Carpet beat, but… today I changed my mind.

I will not let this Emmies edition go by without saying what I think. Fashion wise. Because, I don’t know if you noticed, but when you’re judging freely, with no time pressure or whatever else, you’re thinking clearer. And from the Red Carpet pictures I saw, the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards were all about jewel tones.

Lovely dresses in lovely rainbow colors! I loved so many of them, I think I wouldn’t have slept the night, just talking and talking dresses! But then again, I haven’t slept that night anyway, just dancing and dancing at that said wedding! But back to fashion: the winning ladies wore yellow! So do take note, yellow is the new black for evening wear!

My favorite? By far, Julianne Moore in yellow dress by Christian Dior Couture. Perfection. Just that. walking, smiling, redhead perfection!

Ah! Nothing like a little Family Talk on a beautiful Sunday morning, huh! (we’re invited at a wedding ourselves this blessed Sunday, so twice the fun!) I wanted to express my joy about Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s engagement! He made the announcement a little while back, and I waited for our special Family & such day to mention it.

Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson is engaged to be married to his boyfriend of two years, Justin Mikita (a lawyer! Now isn’t that funny? Jesse plays a lawyer himself, in the hit TV series Modern Family!). And guess what? for the special occasion, they teamed up with Tie Bar, for a collection with all proceeds going towards charity (take a look at the cutest video after the jump! With Jesse and his fiancé talking about bow ties and fashion and marriage!)

I was reading some headlines about the big changes in The Voice’s next season, but I think things could change still: Shakira is pregnant (congraaaats!). She may have a hard time giving her all to The Voice when she said on Facebook “Gerard [e.n. Pique] and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days”.
