We all know Adam Levine’s girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, is a Victoria’s Secret model. And we’ve all seen her strut her wonderful body on Victoria’s Secret catwalk (remember that Heidi and Seal moment they shared at Victoria’s Secret’s parade last year?).
Well, if there was anyone out there who didn’t know Anne V. and what she does for a living, it’s highly possible that they have no doubts now, after the 2012 Grammy Awards Red Carpet! Anne’s V black dress could hardly be described as a dress and more like a more elaborate swimsuit! Why, oh why?
UPDATE: Here’s a possible reason: the dress is an Anthony Vacarello dress (the Spring Summer 2012 collection), currently a stylists & magazines favorite (Gwyneth wore something similar in a recent Harper’s Bazaar pictorial)

Who made Anne V’s dress? I don’t know why everyone is trashing it. She is completely covered. Everyone loved Rihanna’s with her boobs hanging out cut down to her navel, and her rear. What’s the problem with Anne V’s? Again, what designer made it? Anyone know?
Yes she is strategically covered but it is not a beautiful dress nor is it sexy it looks like a swimsuit cover. Rihanna’s dress is the better cut dress, it implies “naked” without being naked and it is sexy, rather like the Liz Hurley Versace safety pin dress did. Adam L’s girlfriend is trying too hard to be noticed in that dress

As for why everybody’s dissing on it – I think it’s a matter of personal taste and perspective. Rihanna is a well known performer who likes to wear risque clothing and show off her assets. Plus – she wears it really well! A low cut dress like that black Armani she had on at the Grammy Awards is not an easy look to pull. Confidence and self awareness are a must when slipping into something like that.
As for Anne V., her fame comes mostly from being someone’s girlfriend. Nobody gives her credit for that. Which is also unfair since Anne Vyalitsyna really is a name in fashion (she covered Swimsuit Illustrated seven times already, and she’s only 25yo). The problem is, Adam Levine likes to display his girlfriend as much as possible. His Trophy GF. He’s been with her, both clothes-less, on magazine covers, pictorials. He’s making her his asset. And that is a dress screaming “showing off”. And that was really disappointing to me.
Anne looks like a perfectly charming and sweet young lady. I’m sure another dress would’ve dressed her better and complimented her more than this half swimsuit, half jumpsuit hybrid. But hey, to each its own, like I said, I too feel it’s unfair to have Gwyneth Paltrow wear something similar and praise her for that and trash Anne. V. instead. So pour that in the ears of those who acclaimed Gwynnie’s Harper’s photos ;)
Huh? I’m not a fan of Adam Levine and his band but “she’s his Trophy GF”? Oh come on! I bet she has opinions of her own. This girl was very young when she decided to leave Russia to make a career with her looks and she made it. So she can’t be that dumb!!
Gwyneth didn’t look like herself either in such a dress. She tries to hard to prove something is my guess since she’s near 40 which is hard in Hollywood. Not her fault but the standards for women in entertainment these days. A bloody shame.
This look is right but o so wrong! As a supermodel Anna V should be smokin in this dress instead she comes across as the poor man’s supermodel! Imagine Stephanie Seymour in this dress?
If I was a supermodel (LOL!) this is exactly how I would dress but with some gold jewelry – maybe?
