Scarlett Johansson’s Awkward Elle UK February 2013
December 30th, 2012 by kpriss
Rankin is in charge of what should’ve, could’ve been a too – cool – for – words cover. But got lost in translation and ended up being just weird, awkward and weird all over again. Elle UK February 2013 with Scarlett Johansson is a big white on gray miss.
From top down or the other way around, Scarlett looks like a schoolgirl in distress, caught up wearing her mom’s shoes, skirt, top and superposed bra. And that cover title ‘Scarlett Johansson In & out of love’ is not helping either. It only adds to the weird factor of the gray ensemble. (if you want more weirdness, hit the jump!)
Adrien Brody’s Gay Affair (Olaf And Paul Music Video)
December 30th, 2012 by kpriss
It’s been a while since my last Adrien Brody movie. You? What say you about Adrien Brody in a very explicit romance with another man? For the love of music, that’s all! Adrien Brody and PacoVolume starring together in a tragic love affair written and directed by Jack Antoine Charlot for PacoVolume’s Olaf and Paul song.
I’m not sure what exactly is Beyonce Knowles doing in this story, but she’s mentioned in the end credits. So is Keira Knightley, George Clooney, Ben Cosgrov, Roman Polanski and Guillermo del Toro (to name just a few).
But seeing that the video itself was dedicated to Adrien Brody ‘for his massive sense of humor’ pretty much explains it all!
Freja Beha Erichsen Is Valentino’s Valentina Acqua Floreale Campaign Girl
December 30th, 2012 by kpriss
Remember when I was questioning Freja Beha Erichsen’s legitimacy as a Valentino girl? When I doubted that this waify tomboy model would ever be a good choice for Valentino’s bows & lace maison legacy?
I have no more doubts. Freja is a wonderful Valentina perfume model. To the point where I’m actually identifying her with Valentina. The youthful spirit she’s injecting into this old house’s traditional ways is priceless and I’m happy they had such an amazing vision. Valentina Acqua Floreale Perfume’s ad campaign is wonderfully, poetically, romantically represented by Freja while I’m continuing my love affair with her haircut. What? (wink)
Kanye West’s Stage Outfits: Maison Martin Margiela White
December 30th, 2012 by kpriss
From wearing a skirt on stage to wearing this white full on masquerade is just a small step for Kanye West. For us is just another biiiig question mark. We noted and acknowledged his style influence on girlfriend Kim Kardashian as 2012 best fashion makeover. Sure she’s making some bad fashion choices lately, but at least she stopped looking like a plastic doll all the time. Her wardrobe is not an endless repertoire of trends worn together with no personality.
She has Kanye’s fashion personality to wear now. But – I wonder – is Kanye taking things too seriously? Now that Gaga isn’t selling out her concerts anymore so people don’t seem to be attracted to her circus anymore, is Kanye trying to fill up that fashion stage nonsense void? Hit the jump to have a better look at why I’m saying this.
Men Of Style, Questionable Style
Anne V Harper’s Bazaar Turkey Vs HB Brazil
December 30th, 2012 by kpriss
Anne Vyalitsyna doesn’t seem affected by her high profile split from her singer ex – boyfriend (who had since moved on with another model. Or two). Anne keeps doing her model job even better than before.
Maybe skipping Victoria’s Secret was a good idea after all (she didn’t do this year’s VS show, did she?) now look at her doing Harper’s Bazaar Turkey January 2013 and Harper’s Bazaar Brazil December 2012. Not the highest ranked fashion magazines out there, but still fashion magazines covers nevertheless. So let’s take a closer look and see what kind of model material is Anne V built of! Festive Winter Makeup: Natalia Vodianova For Guerlain
December 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Every time I look at Natalia Vodianova I get this odd feeling that she’s not ageing a day. Not. A. Single. Day! I don’t know if it’s the kids or the Arnault air, but something sure keeps her beauty unaltered!
Guerlain’s Makeup Winter 2012 Collection is all about that. All about Natalia Vodianova’s timeless, ageless quality. Sparkling hair, shiny, flawless eyes, perfect lips, dramatic nails: this could be a good look for New Year’s Eve. (I don’t really get the ‘LIU’ reference – since this seems to be the name of the collection. But then again, I’m not such a beauty industry connaisseur so if you’re more familiar with the idea, please share! I’ll be here, staring – wink)
Louboutin, YSL No More Red Soles Lawsuits!
December 29th, 2012 by kpriss
The red soles madness is finally over! Remember all the legal fuss around Louboutin’s shoes red soles? And how the label filed for copyright infringement against Yves Saint Laurent? Who were – oh my! selling shoes with red soles as well!
They went back and forth in the legal swamp trying to knot this or that route down the red soles road. 18 months! 18 months of trying to obtain red soles exclusivity! As wwd reports, it’s finally over now that this Manhattan federal district court confirmed closure of the litigation between the two parties. Does that mean that the New York’s federal court’s order allowing YSL to only sell shoes with contrasting soles is still on? Or maybe the houses reached an off – court agreement? Ah, all this legal mumbo jumbo has me all confused!
Valentino, Ferretti Spring 2013 Frozen Ad Campaigns
December 29th, 2012 by kpriss
Now that Christmas is already behind us and we only have New Year’s Eve to look forward to, I’m starting to dream about vivid spring colors, about frilly summer dresses. Which is not all that bad, is it?
But the latest ad campaigns – Valentino Spring 2013 Ad Campaign and Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 Ad Campaign look inexplicably winter – ish. Take a look below, at the two houses’ ads side by side and judge for yourself! (the story continues right after the jump, click here for the gallery!)
