Karlie Kloss Vogue Spain February 2013: Long Hair & LACMA

This is a very vibrant cover, bright, strong colors and Karlie Kloss’ blue steel gaze. But it could also be classified as ‘last season’ as we all know, Karlie’s haircut has received no less than 6 pages in the January 2013 issue of Vogue US.

Photographed by Alex Lubomirski, styled by Belen Antolin with hair by Peter Gray and makeup by Tyron Machhausen, Karlie and her fire red Gucci dress make a charming cover, but the pictorial within surpasses it. Despite of her undeniable golden covergirl material, Karlie’s Vogue Spain February 2013 cover does not live up to Kate Moss’ last month’s Vogue Spain cover standards, but she’s making a great fashion magazine moment nevertheless.

Katie Holmes 2013 Ad Campaigns: Bobbi Brown, Alterna Hair Care

When the big news about her divorce took the world by complete surprise, one of the main questions planning over Katie Holmes’ pretty head was what would she do now, that Tom’s financial security is out of the picture?

She may have learned a thing or two from her life in the Red Carpet’s fast lane, though as we find out that Katie Holmes rolls out another ad campaign for the 2013 Spring! After Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, now Alterna Haircare. Two major ad campaigns in less than a month away (in release time)? Now that surely puts out those financial concerns, doesn’t it?

Dare To Wear Color Changing Nail Polish?

What was I saying about nails earlier? That I won’t bother you with nails talk this time? Well, disregard that, please and let’s talk nails!

I was looking for some glittery nail polish for my usually French manicured nails. I did mentioned glitter in my pink Inspiration Board, remember? I find that, for some reason, glitter makes me happy. And happy is good. We need more happy! In my search for the perfect glittery nail lacquer, I came across something new, interesting and pretty useful: color changing nail polish. Are you familiar with the concept?

Spring 2013 Fashion Ads Target Strong Women

A while ago I noticed the new M.A.C. Spring 2013 Ad Campaign, but didn’t think it was all that interesting. However, when the new Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Ad Campaign finally emerged today, it really made me think about that M.A.C. image I’ve seen…

What brought Wang and MAC together in my head? Something that could very well be a trend for this upcoming Spring season: strength. Strong women. In fashion. While MAC really makes a statement by putting female bodybuilder (and model) Jelena Abbou in their campaign pictures, Wang takes it on the softer, ambiguous, androgynous side of the strength story.

25 Pink Hair Styles To Dye For!

2013 is proving to be quite a year already! Jodie Foster coming out in a public speech, on Live Television? (remember her Golden Globes Awards memorable speech I was telling you about?) That was only made possible by my coming out as a pink loving person!

What? It was just as ground shattering for me as it was for Jodie, I can assure you of that! I never imagined myself as a pink person. Actually, if anyone asked previous to my 2013 Inspiration Board moment, I would’ve assured him / her that I’m a black loving person. A gray loving person. But pink? Would’ve never crossed my mind! And still…

Liu Wen Is Golden In Vogue

Not a day without Vogue! Sounds about right, doesn’t it? Except in this particular Vogue case, everything seems weirder than usual. I can understand and completely accept that you may not feel the same as me about Rooney’s cover, but I think that the Sandy pictorial hits the same question marks within you as it did within me.

Now please help me understand the following image! Masterfully executed by Patrick Demarchelier (and – you guessed it – featured in the same Vogue US February 2013 issue), Liu Wen’s golden paint picture has me wondering what’s it about.

Granted, I don’t know what the associated article is, all I have is the image. But – like they say, a picture’s worth a thousand words, and this one is more like a thousand question marks. I love the idea, though. It’s a classic, I know. But something about this image still leaves me restless – and I think it’s more than just the head / face piece… Should I just get over it and enjoy the general perspective?

This Is Where Louboutin Shoes Are Made!

Every now and then I visit a special place where I find reports about special visits into special places, with special people, with tons of inspiring images. And that place is The Selby. And this time, the Selby was right where the legendary Louboutin shoes are made!

That’s right, The Selby was in Christian Louboutin’s place: home & atelier! The very place where the red soles magic happens! In Paris, biensur. Although the place looks like it’s being renovated, it could very well be in a perpetual ‘under construction’ state. Who knows, whatever triggers the creativity is fine with me! Rihanna’s Seven Complex Covers

We already knew that Rihanna was special. But so special as to be given seven magazine covers simultaneously? This could actually be more interesting than Beyonce’s GQ.

Except… we’re actually used to seeing Rihanna in all kinds of provocative instances. On a weekly basis, RiRi produces and tweets a series of suggestive images of herself on the less side of dressed. Which makes this series of Complex special edition seven covers issue less surprising than it could’ve been.
