February 13th, 2013 by kpriss
Do you have the watch passion? Yes, like in timepiece watch? I’m still waiting for it to hit me. But I’m not impatient about it because I know that time is money. And timepieces make no exception to the time rule either! But it’s well worth the effort. Take this special Blancpain Saint Valentin 2013 limited edition watch!
As the name points it out, it was precisely made for this year’s Valentine’s Day, as last year’s special edition (only 99 pieces were made), also honoring this celebration of love. Let’s take a closer look at this precious beauty!
Vogue Equality: Joan Smalls, Raquel Zimmermann Kiss And Make Out
February 13th, 2013 by kpriss
Now that’s something you don’t get to see in every Vogue edition! It actually went further than Vogue Paris on some accounts! If we only consider the fact alone that France is struggling to pass the law of marriage equality, seeing Joan Smalls and Raquel Zimmermann kiss and make out in Vogue US’ latest issue is nothing short of sheer revolution!
Luckily, the fashion crowds know better than to take the streets and protest like some French people do.
The pictorial is called ‘To Rome with Love’, it was masterfully executed by Mario Testino and styled by Tonne Goodman with hair by Christiaan and makeup by Tom Pecheux.
Vogue Paris March 2013 Goes Radical With Suvi Koponen
February 12th, 2013 by kpriss
Vogue Paris is bringing a radical revolution wave with their March 2013 issue. Or so they say. Covering the clean issue is Finnish model Suvi Koponen, an authentically surprising cover choice for everyone.
Which is not to say that the image, authored by Mert and Marcus, isn’t pleasant or aesthetically right. It’s just difficult to rank Suvi in the Vogue Paris girls gallery. Next to Lara Stone or Anja Rubik. Of course, if I were to speculate, I’d say that this is a new Alt – esque direction for Vogue Paris, in a striving effort to fly higher than Roitfeld’s openly sensual orbit.
But then again Suvi Koponen is on a significant rise, we’ve seen her on the cover of this month’s i-D magazine, next to Kate Moss who had her fair share of i-D covers. There’s no telling before we’ll see the actual pictorial. Do you feel the change? Or just another wannabe – cool editor maneuver from Emmanuelle Alt?
5 Dark Fall Looks To Try: Victoria Beckham Fall 2013 Collection
February 12th, 2013 by kpriss
I actually went through this collection several times going from sartorial corner to accessory corner without finding my style way. It’s actually hard to believe, even for me, that there wasn’t too much eyecandy / wardrobecandy for me in Victoria Beckham Fall Winter 2013 2014 Collection.
Was that because of the general severity of the collection? Because of the menswear inspiration dominating this fall 2013 catwalks? I doubt it since I’m generally a menswear kind of wardrobe girl. You tell me! Here are my 5 dark fall looks I could actually try from Victoria Beckham Fall 2013 collection (and a final accessories trends rundown bonus, hit the jump to see them all!)
{1} the mixed patterns dress: the only design I truly, fully loved from this collection!
15 Lovely Pink Gift Ideas For Valentine’s Day. And More
February 12th, 2013 by kpriss
Yes, I’m well aware of my pink obsession. And yes, I’m also fully conscious that you’ve been given a fair warning regarding my penchant for many things – all things – pink. But that’s not the main reason why I’m doing this late Valentine’s Day jewelry piece… (bare with me a while, we’ll get to the bling thing in a sec!)
Because, after all, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I might have given it a little bit more consideration and column space if … my head wasn’t so much in the clouds lately. But, let me walk you through this story’s coming about process a bit! As it happens, my sweet daughter had her head in the clouds yesterday as well. She was singing and dancing and laughing all day long.

5 Fall Looks To Remember: Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2013 Collection
February 11th, 2013 by kpriss
As we’re still quietly swimming the sales season, I think it would be safe to acknowledge and remember some of the fancy looks for Fall Winter 2013 2014. And as far as I’ve heard, menswear is a huge coordinate of the next fall season.
As such, Tommy Hilfiger is one of the incontournables. One of the designer’s whose collections are naturally inclined towards menswear. My wardrobe is far from being a preppy heaven, but I happen to know a few people who only swear on Tommy’s style directives!
For them and for our future references, let’s review the 5 looks I retained from Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2013 Collection – be warned, though, it’s a fashion inspiration moment, not a fashion critic serious soup!
{1} the oversized camel & checkered coat. Because you can never have enough of camel coats or checkered print.
2013 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet Pretty Dresses
February 11th, 2013 by kpriss
I felt the need to come back to that from the Grammy music infomercial. The 2013 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet was fabulous and a handful of my favorite stars were there, braving the bad weather and keeping their smiling faces and fashion suits on.
Talking about the soaking weather: one of the funniest to walk in front of the photographer’s flashes was the lovely Marion Cotillard. She was a genuine ray of sunshine in her bright yellow Dior Couture dress!
But she was oh – so – precious with her faces – you’d think the snow would melt her! At least we know she was human, I would’ve done exactly the same, I can’t stand being cold.

2013 Grammy Awards Fashion Fail: Katy Perry Cleavage In Gucci Green Dress
February 11th, 2013 by kpriss
Saying how gorgeous Karlie Kloss looked at the 2013 Grammy Awards reminded me of a complete Fashion Fail on tonight’s Red Carpet: Katy Perry. Her sea green dress signed by Gucci (part of the Resort 2013 collection) was a very risqué choice for the entertainer, especially given her generous cleavage.
She noticeably tried to make it as seventies as possible, just like the original’s collection model styling demanded, but all she succeeded was to stretch the fabric beyond the designer’s imagination. Her date, on and off boyfriend John Mayer surely had no objection to that!
