Party Dress of The Day – Beaded Flapper Dress
December 3rd, 2007 by kpriss
Because in our latest post about The British Fashion Award 2007 we told you we were so disappointed in the black-trend for special occasions, we will begin a new series of posts named Party Dress of The Day. And hereby a promise: NO BLACK for our Party Dresses!
And not that there would be something wrong with black! Oh, no! But because that’s so unfair for all those beautiful colours out there just waiting to make your dress unforgettable!
Today we present you the TopShop Version of the dress Kate Moss wore for the Swarovsky event late this year (the dress is part of the Kate Moss Collection for Topshop and it costs $516). The original dress that was auctioned off and raised app. $10.000 for the Prince’s Trust was adorned with 60.000 crystals.
The British Fashion Awards 2007
December 3rd, 2007 by kpriss
A fashion celebration and almost everyone wore black. That’s really not fashion at all!
Anyway, among the awarded personalities we found Vivienne Westwood for outstanding achievement in fashion, a pregnant Stella McCartney for Designer of the Year, Kate Moss for the Model of the Year (maybe you think different, maybe you’ll join the club of those who say that drugs aren’t glamourous and awardable at all, but imagine that the other nominees were: Alex Wek and Erin OConnor).
And here’s Agyness Deyn, Dita Von Teese, Erin OConnor, Georgina Chapman, Kelly Osbourne, Kimberly Stewart, Lily Allen, Lisa Snowdon, Savannah Miller, Thandie Newton. We thank all those who thought black-different for the occasion!

Christmas Present of The Day – Mulberry Julie Verhoeven Handbag
December 3rd, 2007 by kpriss
Mulberry and Julie Verhoeven decided to create a collection of dresses, scarves, T-shirts, and bags. The colourful line is inspired by the British ecxcentricity and luxury. The Mulberry Collection is already availabe from September.
Julie Verhoeven, famed for her quirky, erotic collage illustrations, worked with Mulberry design director Stuart Vevers to translate her aesthetic into product.
The collection signed by the famous illustrator features a $1,995 smock dress with ribbon appliqué detail and the large quilted chain handle bag that we proposed for today priced at $1,195, two tees, priced at $99 each, and a giant silk scarf.
The print on the products is a collage of elements “worked around the traditional English rose icon with thorny surprises-surrealist and nonsense elements thrown in to the mix. English eccentricities and traditions gone a little askew, but with fondness and femininity.”
“The brief was to be both vibrant and bold and a little cheeky,” explained Verhoeven.

Kate Moss Hologram – Alexander McQueen Fashion Show
December 1st, 2007 by kpriss
Oldies but goldies: Kate Moss for Alexander McQueen. One of the greatest Couture Designers, Alexander McQueen knows kew how to make a show! Fashion brought to its state of art!
Update: I’m writing this as I was browsing though old posts, remembering the genius that was Alexander McQueen. A true loss for the fashion industry and for the world, McQueen’s legacy is still there. In our hearts.
Hard to believe that someone will ever match this glorious fashion catwalk moment when Kate couldn’t be there but McQueen still wanted his muse by his side. We well always remember you, RIP Lee! (don’t miss the video right after the jump!)
$500.000 Sparkling Christmas Tree
December 1st, 2007 by kpriss
We started with the $1.8 million Diamond Christmas Tree and we’re not stopping! Steve Quick, the jeweler, just created a five pounds solid 18K gold Christmas Tree. The layer of 200 carats of diamonds forms a glittering dust of snow over the 4.25 cart stone in a platinum star.
The Steve Quick Diamond Christmas Tree is estimated at $500.000 and it will be unveiled at the Steve Quick Store in Chicago this week, on December 7th and will remain on display trough the season.
The Steve Quick Diamond Christmas Tree is meant to be the most valuable in the world because: “Our tree was created to bring hope and help to people battling cancer. To us, helping others is priceless!”. Beginning December 17th, the Christmas Tree will be auctioned on eBay and the full amount of profit will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Before the unveiling, the Guinness Book of World Records will be answering the request made by Steve Quick Jeweler
