W Magazine Law & Order With Daisy Lowe And Peaches Geldof

I remember a time when the catchy tagline “Le fric, c’est chic” made history alongside Studio54’s iconic personalities.

Now the Studio54 generation’s children try to make history through their tattoos, heavy partying, wrong marriages, dubious circles. Shortly, they’re trying to eat their part of the history cake by shocking everyone. (and their dog!) “Le freak c’est chic” (don’t miss the rest of the pictures right after the jump!)

W Magazine decided to throw a controversial issue on the market this March 2009, causing some serious controversies with the Blame it on Rio’s pictorial starring Madonna and Jesus Luz (and other young male models). One other raising eyebrows point was the Law & Order pictorial with Daisy Lowe, Peaches Geldof, Eliza Cummings, Portia Freeman, Eden Clark, Amy Greenhouse.

While in the supers days, models were discovered on the beach, in their fav store, in airport terminals (bref, in their normal, daily habitat), now they’re recruiting from Gossip Magazines or simply taking Daddy’s Girls respecting the family’s spotlight tradition. The pictorial is signed by Steven Meisel (I deliberately blurred the cigarettes…) in the most sacred tradition of the Jailhouse Rock.

The day Amy Winehouse was declared a trendsetter, I thought it was a joke! Now I don’t think so anymore! How long till the Gossip pedigree drops in value? (you can read the W magazine interview here, photos via W Magazine) (thanks, Adriana!)

It seems the more tragic and lame one is in their behaviour the more attention they garner. I am not impressed, and I ain’t buy that issue!

I’d criticized these photos. I do criticize the fashion world more so than these girls whom are so messed up. Look what has happened to them!! Daisy and Peaches and Pixie (and there’s Tiger Hutchence growing up to be quite a looker as it seems……) whose mothers were junkies. One of them died. “Stepfather” Michael Hutchenche died in a strange way, Gavin Rossdale and Daisy Lowe didn’t even know they were father and daughter until some years ago!! Now that’s all very messy. How can these girls be sane? Normal? Its impossible. So now they are kinda abused by the fashion world. To glorify things that shouldn’t be glorified. Now that’s twisted. That’s really the most sick part to me. It wouldn’t be so bad if their admirers and followers would understand these girls. Should understand why they are some kinda twisted and where they are coming from. But they don’t I’m afraid. And that’s why I’m not impressed with these photos! The W, the photographers are lame abusers! I’ve an uglier word and name for these people…..

I suppose you’ve noticed Pixie Geldof graces Vogue Italia?

End of rant!

Oh, yes, I’ve noticed. And more I think about these girls, more I get the feeling that their so called fashion appeal and style is staged.

The poor girls are just marionettes in Le Theatre du Marketing. The world expects something extraordinary out of them just because they come from extraordinary pasts. Like you said, Daisy is Gavin’s daughter by means of one-night-stand. And they didn’t even knew that!

I do believe, though, that the Geldof girls are nothing compared to miss Dellal!
