Prada Trembled Blossoms 2008 Outrageousness Continues

Even from the moment it was presented, the Prada Spring Summer 2008 Campaign literally freaked me out.

The Trembled Blossoms animation film is an offense to the eye and the common good sense, not to mention good old education. Aside from the colors featured in the film, truly beautiful, the idea of that asexuate nymph biblically relating to her oh-so-generous faun and the entire plot of the movie are appalling. I was willing to let the story die peacefully, hoping the hallucinogenic effect of bags to pass into a more decent form than moths coming out of handbags and flowers with human reproductive appearance and function bonus the eating birds part, but Prada’s going obsessive and brings yet another episode to the audience, in Japan, where butterflies transforms into sunglasses, meaning Prada has fixation on moths or we’ll soon face another Silence of the Lambs (ahem purses, sunglasses and whatever else!).

The animation is beautiful. That’s all.

But you just gave the script writers a brilliant idea for the final Hannibal Lector movie! (Or has these been made yet? I’ve only seen the first one and Michael Mann’s “Manhunter” both brilliant movies.) In the final movie Hannibal eats the Prada bags and other accessories, of course in company with his so beloved Chianti, and then dies……?
