It was only few days ago when we talked about that wonderful happy looking family called Depp – Paradis (they should call it that if they aren’t already! DepParadis!). Here’s Vanessa Paradis on the cover of the French Elle, the November 2009 issue, showing her always gorgeous self as opposed to Marie Claire‘s December 2009 issue, also with Vanessa Paradis!
She looks like the time hasn’t touched her, like she was like this since forever, wouldn’t you say? Vanessa is ageless! (click through to read the story and discover the pictures here)
Dressed up as a (leather and sheer) rocker, a light-Madonna techno-inspiration, a bob-wigged pop Chanel wonder, a jazzy retro darling, a soul flapper princess, a boho hippie chic girl, Vanessa makes it all look natural. Even so, she’s doing this Elle to promote her very first Best Of album.
She also gave an amazing interview, laid back, modest and realistic. The kind you always expect from people like her (in the spotlight) but never quite deliver it. She’s a wonderful, complete, happy woman! And if there could only be more like her out there, the Red Carpet would be a better place! Then again, you never really do know someone until you meet them. And even so… After reading Marie Claire’s interview I can tell you it’s really similar and bounded to the authorized questions and answers. She’s doing all this a l’occasion de her best of. Once you read one, you’ve read them all. But what a difference Marie Claire brings!
From the lovely, dreamy Elle photos to the rough, Marie Claire pictures, I’d say Vanessa lost her identity. She lost it to Ellen von Unwerth’s lenses. She looks ordinary. Anyone could pose like that and pull it the right way. Even Posh. Which one do you prefer? Elle’s Vanessa or Marie Claire’s? (photos via)

She looks lovely in both layouts.
I often forget that she sings.
I like ELLE a bit more. I’ve a very weak spot for Vanessa. Always have….:)
Yesterday night I saw the legendary Queen concert 1975 at the Old Grey Whistle Test, Ellington knows probably what I’m talking about. I still love Freddie though he’s gone for 18 years. He wore black nail lacquer.:)
(Yes, off topic….sorry…..)
God she looks cool in that cover shot
ive heard people say she resembles brigitte bardot, but shes not nearly as beautiful as brigitte!
