Going bra-shopping can really be an exhausting, demoralizing experience for many women out there! Either because advertising is constantly pushing up (pun intended) the body curves and when the underwire and the padding don’t do, Photoshop will most certainly perfect it!
Bralettes are like your childhood BFF! Naturally close, naturally funny and always trusty. There’s no lying, no cheating but an endless reservoir of careless charm. Lace, cotton, solid color or wild prints, bralettes have it all! and now you have all the simplest reasons to just go with the bralette!

1. Summer Heat
If you’ve been reluctant to trying bralettes before, summer is the the perfect time to start doing it! The hot weather is definitely not the moment to wear heavily padded bras and underwires can become uncomfortable and even cause allergies or skin troubles. On the other hand, bralettes are lighter, less padded (or not padded at all) and many do not even have underwired support.

2. Tank Tops
How many times were you practically forced to buy a new bra with a new tank top, just to not make the bra look weird or tacky when showing off underneath those thin spaghetti tank top straps? No more peek-a-boo headaches with a lovely bralette! Lace or print, your bralette can actually enhance the tank top charm by contributing to a ‘layered’, thus sophisticated look!
3. Open Back Dresses
Summer and spring fashion equals dresses. Lightweight, flimsy, flowy dresses. The lighter, the better, more open, the better! But what about the bra? Forget it altogether and go for a girly, feminine bralette to match the dress! Think lace for busy prints or printed bralette underneath solid color dresses!
4. See Through Tops
Sure you bough that top to go with that killer bra you got on sale from that fancy Italian lingerie brand! But what if you can subtle up your sheer game and wear a lacy, strappy bralette instead? It would almost look like you had a top underneath, thus doubling the occasions to wear and show off the top in question!

5. Cup Size
Finally a product for medium-small cups that doesn’t involve heavy padding and doesn’t take your curve appeal away from you? Bralettes can make a small size feel important and relevant, feminine and flirty! Just because you thought Mother Nature gave you lemons, doesn’t mean you can’t make an awesome lemonade with them and enjoy your natural proportions like they were meant to be! I am so glad to see these coming back into fashion. As a smaller busted girl I resent how in bra shops all the A and B cups have padding. Bigger sizing often has fabric cups without all that lining but the assumption seems to be that if you’re an A or B you’ll want a lift if not a full push. I rarely want either.
And they are comfy too, which is very important! : )
spot on Ellington! comfy & pretty! Such a marvelous combination!
Amen! and they are better and healthier for our breast!
exactly! (I always favored sports bra but felt rather awkward at the thought of wearing a see-through blouse over a sports bra lol)
