I’d like to put the winners – thing behind me for a moment now and concentrate on something really surprising on the 2013 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet. Helen Mirren. She’s always flawlessly styled and perfectly elegant. And while this time she was no different from her usually fashionable self, Helen Mirren decided to surprise us all with a new hairdo.
A new hair color, actually. Helen Mirren’s pink hair was pretty much the main attraction on the BAFTA’s Red Carpet. It’s not everyday that you get to see such a classy lady with cotton candy hair! Contrasting her pink hair, Helen Mirren was wearing a Nicholas Oakwell soft gray dress (from the Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection) which she fully enjoyed, spinning around for the cameras.
Back to Helen Mirren’s hair now: it’s not to say that the haircut or the hair color didn’t suit her! As far as I’m concerned, Helen Mirren taught us all a very important style lesson tonight (as she usually does with every Red Carpet appearance): fashion is nothing if you’re not having fun. And there’s no age tag to fashion fun! Thank you, Helen! (images Getty, Nicholas Oakwell)

Only in the UK a woman whatever age can pull this off. One of the reasons I love that country. In my country? Pffff….
I read she was inspired by ANTM. The English winner did sport the colour. (I see it almost daily in everywhere in the streets..all these fun hair colours….:) )
Gorgeous woman with a body to die for! Who wouldn’t have a body like that hers at that age? I definitely would!! :)
I adore Helen Mirren! She is fabu!
She looks lovely in her gown and her new hair colour is very fetching and whimsical! : )
She looks like she is having so much fun!
I honestly wish I could have her fashion confidence when I grow up ;)
I think the dress is age appropriate and the accessories are lovely. Which is more than I can say for the hair colour.
Now why would someone of Dame Helen Mirren’s stature and grace, make such a major mistake? It’s almost perfect, which is why the hair colour is such a shame. She looks like an ugly version of Dame Edna.
something isn’t right with this dress…color is washing her out, i think it is almost like she had no choice but to dye her hair pink :p but nonetheless, she is a lovely lady and kudos for being so brave. Go Brits!I wish I was British :(
