Are you familiar with Emmy Rossum? Yes, ‘Shameless’ Emmy Rossum. She also starred in Mystic River, The Day After Tomorrow and Poseidon, to name just a few of her titles as an actress (‘Shameless’ is her latest TV series, pretty popular, at its 3rd season already.)
But did you know that Emmy Rossum is also a singer and songwriter? I didn’t! Imagine my surprise when I dug deeper and found out that ‘Sentimental Journey’ is actually her second album! The first one, Inside Out, was released in 2007 and was sold in little under 30,000 units up to date.
Now I don’t know how you feel about retro rhythms and retro videos, but if you’re willing to experiment, do hit the play button and see / hear Emmy Rossum perform. I think we might be on to something here…

Sorry, if I want to go back to that I prefer Caro Emerald or other classics. A bit too smooth for me….perhaps because Nobody Knows You is a song I love so much and is done so well and so ‘down and out’ on the legendary album Layla – Derek and the Dominos album.
Emmy is moaning while carrying her mirror….who wants to look in the mirror feeling like that? I certainly not……being down and out is a raw and rough feeling…..but that’s me.
I think though this is great music for lots of people. Emmy is certainly not a bad singer.
