Critics Choice Awards 2013: Red Carpet Highlights

After all the disappointment, I think it’s about time I showed you some of the highlights I loved the most from the 2013 Critics Choice Awards. Be it from the Red Carpet, from inside the actual ceremony, these are the details I liked, from all the images I’ve seen.

Among them, a very special mention for Emily Blunt’s Miu Miu white dress – I think I can safely declare that Emily Blunt can do no fashion wrong! I trust you noticed that the style of her white gown was very similar to Jessica Chastain’s red dress style (which was also Miuccia Prada’s doing, only released to the press as a ‘Prada’ gown). Before I moved on to some other highlight, a special mention for Emily Blunt’s JustFab clutch and Graziela jewelry! Flawless!

Next on my special list is Leslie Mann’s golden glitter pedi! Popping out of her bright pink Jimmy Choo heels, that golden glitter was really a surprise find! I didn’t see it coming, not after seeing how pink she was in her Honor NYC dress (from the Spring 2013 collection), and especially not after seeing how many stars forget about having a pedicure done altogether even when walking the Red Carpet! (you’ll see what I mean in a minute!)

Next on my highlights list is Famke Janssen. And not necessarily because of her navy blue dress from the John Galliano Fall 2012 collection (which, I’m certain, landed her many ‘worst dressed’ titles) but because of her emerald green bangles – they were so contrasting with the entire outfit, so incoherent with her overall style that they seem to scream ‘get me out of here’.

Furthermore, on the 2013 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet, Jamie King was clearly having a proud moment, showing off her back tattoo in her Jason Wu black dress. I wouldn’t put this among my ‘favorite’ moments, but it was definitely a ‘whaaa?!’ kind of moment!

Same goes for when I first saw Marion Cotillard’s Jimmy Choo sandals. I know her dress was really busy but not that much as to make me forget about the sandals she was wearing! And especially about Marion not having her pedicure done.

Next is Helen Hunt who was absolutely stunning in her Philip Armstrong red dress from the Atelier Collection! A special mention for a lovely couple on the Red Carpet: Naomi Watts (in black Emilio Pucci dress) and her husband, Liev Schrieber. They looked so beautiful together!

Now moving on to some of my favorite moments from the actual Critics Choice Awards ceremony: Emily Blunt and John Krasinski getting all comfy during the ceremony, Joseph Gordon – Levitt being a complete gentleman with Emily Blunt, Emmy Rossum showing her best action packed moves (while wearing a stunning Carolina Herrera dress) and, of course, the adorable Quvenzhane Wallis who read her acceptance speech from her very own iPhone! Priceless! (images courtesy Getty)

Kpriss, to be honest I prefer Marion’s non pedicure above Lesli’s wrinkled feet with the golden pedicure. Her feet look painfully pressed into these shoes I do not like much either.

I also love Marion’s dress and her whole look better. A wonderful dress with everything else simple and nude. It’s not like her toe nails looks nasty or undone.

Famke, whom I always loved, looks terrible. Also her over botoxed face. Shame!

Can’t get HBO that broadcast the Golden Globes here. (I need to get a prescription and pay, I regret that now. I’m in need for escapism tv.) So instead I watch that horrible E! Entertainment red carpet and it’s boring. We see more of the presenters than the stars.

Claire Danes looks great in Versace! See if it shows up here ;)
