The Haute Couture shows are in! It’s time for some spectacular, dazzling, mind spinning fashion moments! And although some notable absents were announced this season (no Givenchy, no Dior Couture, I even heard something about McQueen not doing Couture either), Atelier Versace Spring 2013 rocked the catwalk.
Fierce models showed equally spectacular designs penned straight from Donatella Versace’s imagination. The clothes looked more like painted on than sew on, the fabric offered a bubblegum ethereal perspective over the current state of style in the fashion industry.
Now let’s discuss the 9 dresses I picked up from the Atelier Versace Spring 2013 Collection, in no particular order. (images Marcus Tondo/ InDigitalteam / GoRunway; styledotcom)
{1} black pleats dress, gold & fur: because it’s a classic confidence and appeal booster.
{2} pinstripe, cutouts dress & fur shoulder pads: because it’s a classic power suit.
{3} white tulle & shiny pink dress: because we dreamed of a dress like this since we were 5!
{4} blazer of glory dress: because it’s so hard to mix & match such a strong jacket, why add anything?
{5} zippers, cutouts on black dress: because we have a secret zipper craft passion!
{6} yellow pleats & green & pink dress: because one can’t have enough neon!
{7} shiny yellow dress: because one can’t have enough lemonade either!
{8} structured black dress & shoulder pads: because you can change seasons, but you can’t change a Versace trademark dress.
{9} white Grecian dress: because we’re all Goddesses.
