We all love Alexander McQueen’s work and honor his legacy the best way we can! But a dress made entirely out of Haribo bears sounds just as off – beat as the late designer’s original models. 50,000 gummy bears, three persons to handle it, and a weight that’ll make you skip the workout training an entire year, here’s Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi’s Haribo McQueen dress for Twelv! Yummy!
What a way to put a magazine out on the newsstands! The firs issue ever of Twelv was cleverly launched with a little help from designer, stylist and fashion editor Sayuri Marakumi. Editor in chief Hissa Igarashi honored the creative bird of paradise that was Lee McQueen with this Parrot Dress lookalike, entirely made of gummy bears glued on a vinyl covered steel frame.

The dress in itself is not sartorially challenging but the visual effect it produces is simply unmeasurable! Part of the Spring Summer 2008 collection suggestively called ‘La Damme Bleu’, the dress as the other items in the collection, were inspired by and were honoring Isabella Blow. She who found McQueen and pushed him to fame and wore all his extravagant creations!
