Carey Mulligan Paired Her Prada Wedding Dress With Pink Wellies

While reports about Carey Mulligan’s wedding (with childhood friend and musician Marcus Mumford) are flying from left to right, there’s still no official image from inside.

However, as I still scout for pictures of Carey Mulligan, the bride, convinced that she was even more beautiful than she usually is, my fashion self is really curious to see how her Prada wedding dress matched the pink wellies she was allegedly wearing! (for her barn wedding)

And by ‘barn wedding’ you’ll have to imagine that the 100 guests were drove around the farm in tractors. And the guests list included names like Colin Firth, Jake Gyllenhaal and Sienna Miller. I can definitely see the latter two tractor-ing around, but Colin Firth?

That’s one more reason to deeply regret that no pictures were made available for the rest of us to enjoy the sight of what was undoubtedly a wonderful country-boho-chic wedding.

Granted, not every one of the brides dreaming about such type of nuptial ceremony&party could actually wear a custom made Prada wedding dress and have Rankin as the official wedding photographer, but that’s the life of an A-lister. Full of really unpretentious happenings.

The only details that emerged from the Mumford-Mulligan wedding via the participants, described the wedding dress as simple, backless, ivory, with straps, the bridesmaids dresses as blue, over the knee, paired with high heeled shoes. A pretty interesting choice given that the bride’s shoes were pink rubber boots…

Well, at least we have a general oversight of the location, a farm near Bridgewater, Somerset, where the groom’s father officiated the ceremony. (oh, and – do you think her pictorial for Harper’s Bazaar UK June 2013 shot by Tom Allen where she was wearing Hunter wellies and pink Prada ensemble was a soft try to balance for the lack of pictures from her wedding?)
