Angelina Jolie Premieres Land Of Blood And Honey Dressed In Black

The much anticipated premiere of Angelina Jolie’s “In the Land of Blood & Honey” movie rolled its red carpet Monday night in New York City.

Angelina showed up with Brad Pitt at her side, both wearing matching outfits: Angelina in her trademark black, blouson type of dress. Which wasn’t even a dress, Angelina wearing a floor length Ralph Lauren black skirt paired with a black Joseph top. Interesting choice of accessories – the chunky Ofira necklace is an unusual sighting since Angelina keeps is minimal and very discrete, jewelry – wise. Should she throw a daring jewelry piece every now and then? Does it suit her?

Not keen about the jewelry here. But with those signature eyes & bee stung lips of hers Angie doesn’t really need much embellishement.
Just read somewhere she’s got a hectic scheduale ahead of her with films by Ridley Scott, Luc Besson & the much awaited role of Kay Scarpetta for Patricia Cornwell fans like me.
Speaking of Luc Besson…I went to the premier of The Lady recently & was blown away by Michelle Yeoh’s performance. For years alongside Jane Birkin & many others I’ve been protesting for the release from house arrest of Burmese politician Aung San Suu Kyi so I was expecting a lot from Besson. Well he delivered. Go see it. More than politics its also a love story you’ll never forget.
*The battle’s over but not the war. Although now free from house arrest Aung knows she can’t leave her country to visit her sons or friends at the risk of not being allowed to re-enter her country. The fight for democracy continues…*

Angelina as a fashionista is usually very stylish but this is a hot mess. She looks like a …mom?! Brad on the other hand looks very delish.

I think that she looks fine. This is her directorial debut so I think that she wants to be taken seriously so no sexy over the top outfits to distract from her film.
I LOVE her jewelry it reminds me of some of the museum pieces that we used to have on display at the museum I worked at. : )
