When the news about Karl Lagerfeld doing a perfume that smelled like books emerged it felt completely legit and plausible, given Der Kaiser’s notorious love for the written word.
However, days later, Steidl issued a statement that would clear Karl Lagerfeld of any implications in the Paper Passion perfume making. So their relationship only goes as far as co-publishing books and owning book stores. It could’ve been worse, right? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if der Kaiser‘s love for smelling chocolate will actually translate into a perfume, since he recently admitted “I would love to have a perfume based on chocolate.”? Now that would be interesting! Until then, let’s admire Karl Lagerfeld’s sculpture in chocolate of (who else?) Baptiste Giabiconi! Feel free to comment! (I would!) (via 1, 2, 3)

Oh Karl honey, NO!
I wonder what makes a man with such inteligence and culture to have such ( sometimes borderline ridiculous) behaviour.
he doesnt need to be in the spot light.. he doesnt need headlines.
so why??
There is something rather lecherous old man about that photo, and I no likey at all!
Oh and mdinah I so agree with you!
: )
we all do such crazy things in the name of love ;)
I agree with you, though… the images are pretty much disturbing! But I guess nobody could top der Kaiser’s “crazy doin’ list”…
Love??”Waz wron wizz dyou” kpriss??
just joking…it seems to be infatuation
well… I’m not as naive to think der Kaiser does all this out of pure admiration for Baptiste’s fashion applied qualities. He’s too taken with the young Giabiconi to see how ridiculous he can be!
This all made me want to watch Luchino Visconti’s films one more time again….the beauty and desperation of disrepair….and things that has gone by….
Oh and that is such a horrid way to waste chocolate! :P
