There’s something about this Givenchy Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010 2011 collection. The decomposed luxury, the decadent sparkling costumes make it all look and feel out of this galaxy.
It’s ridiculously good looking and yet, if you take it piece by piece, there’s nothing more spectacular in this collection than the elaborate embroidery looking very much like curtains art. Very expensive, exclusive curtains embroidery, biensur. However, this reminds me of my young years when I was playing dress-up with curtains and fabrics I found in my mother’s closet. Oh, how I treasured that closet! Givenchy, I love thee, let me count the ways! So what does this collection reminds you of? (photos via)

I believe, according to an LVMH press release, the collection is supposed to be representative of the late Frida Kahlo. The details on the back (almost skeletal) are representing her broken vertabrae.
